R.Mika Combo/Tech Thread: "Pull Out All The Stops!"

If you call assist with V-Trigger it will always front.

It does not cross up.

Kinda random, but i think its interesting, her v-skill doesn’t stack, but it does have an “effect” if you use it briefly (like just tap mp+mk). for example hp.rt goes from 180/200 > 225/200 (lvl 1 is 270/200) wingless airplane is the only throw you can combo into after a hit from v-skill (obviously). Also it will power up Mika’s normal throw too.

What’s the best way to follow up a crush-counter Drop Kick at neutral range? I seem to get these a lot but the opponent seems too far way to do anything most of the time.

Crush counter combo off a fully charged Dropkick.
I realize you will rarely hit this, but it’s good to know when you get it.
St.HK(charged),forward dash,St.HP,V-trigger(front),St.MP,(Nadeshiko hit),ST.HK(Charged),EX-Shooting Peach.
You can replace the ST.MP with a ST.HP but the follow up is trickier and ST.MP is more consistent.

Native Impact already optmized the damage for CC combos. Max is something like 420 and gives you corner its on his twitter I’ll link it later if someone does not.

Mid-screen I got 428 with meter and V-trigger, using

CC s.HK > c.HP xx V-Trigger (hold forward) > s.HP xx EX Flying Peach > l.Wingless Airplane.

cl.MP, st.HP xx fwd.trigger, st.HP, st.HK (air juggle), ex.Airplane – **362/555 ** (v-trigger and 1-bar)

Slightly trickier to land the drop kick than the fwd.HP though.

Olaf just pointed out on twitter you can link her super from hits rather then cancel! I.e jump in HP, super. Or mp, mp, super etc.

I also found you can link ex peach from a mp, no need to cancel. This gives much more time to confirm.

You can link straight into CA off of a raw, non CH st.MP on reaction, yes sir. Same with charged st.HK.

I would not recommend st.MP > st.MP > Super as a link though, it seems inconsistent from my testing.

So this is definitely a corner combo, and maybe its a waste of your resource, but it’s the highest stun damage I can get it to right now. Its worked with Chun and that rooster lookin’ fuk… Charlie! Yeah, well, it requires one EX meter and V-Trigger.

The only significance with substituting HP after VT activation instead of tossing them to the ‘ropes’ is, for obvious reason, HP does more stun. It’s definitely worth going for the first corner combo.

I dunno if this is the best best use for her Critical Art, but I do like the stun power of this. Is there a set-up after her Super? If there is then 560 stun is not bad to follow-up on for a mix-up.

Alot of players are very jab happy in this early stage of the game. Its a pretty good tactic actually, if someone jumps in with a string, you can usually mash jab to score a counter hit between their MP, MP strings etc. As well as stuffing peoples tap throws.

To combat this with Mika, if you jump in with your usual LK, link into st.LP (so 2 hit string), this leaves you at +2 on block, then do MP (5 frames) asap and this will beat anyone mashing jab (3 frames) and score a counter hit. Of course you are giving up combos that you could have done if your jump in LK had hit them in the first place. If the MP hits you can do rope throw.

EDIT: This might not be visible to the public… Basically: f.HP crush counter -> forward dash -> c.HP seems to cross-under to the other side or not dependent on spacing or timing. Might post a video of my own later if no one else has one by then.

What is the difference between her two command grabs?

Main difference is kick throws them forward, punch backwords. Punch throw also has slightly more range.
