I dont often mourn celebrities/artists/Etc, and while I’m not a huge Soundgarden fan, the songs that got airplay and MTV/vh1/the box, definitely was part of my upbringing and was the reason why I switched from piano to guitar. “I’m looking California and feeling Minnesota, oh yeah” had a impact on my youth as it made me at one point, reflected on my goal on graduating highschool and moving out of the Midwest. I’m sure a lot of other people here have stories about living during the alternative/grunge era too.
Man fuck this shit.
All the rock stars I admired in my youth are dying one by one.
Peter Steele, Lemmy Kilmister, Ronny James Dio now Cornell, and not to mention all the mofos that died in their 20’s like Cobain and Staley.
Thankfully he did all his good work way way back and the recent stuff sucked balls.
