Questions for 3S GGPO players

Isotopez and I are doing input lag tests on all the platforms 3s is played on. We’ve done CPS3 and all the console ports, now we are doing PC emulators. But I want to get a feel for what your setups are like. So if you guys could answer a few questions, that would be helpful.

CRT or LCD?
What operating system do you use?
What blitter?
Triple buffering on or off?
Force 60hz on or off?
Full screen or windowed?

And if you are using Windows 7 - Aero on or off?

If there’s an agreed upon standard, that would be helpful to know too.

I use:

LCD
Windows 7 Home Premium - Aero on
Experimental Blitter
No Triple Buffering
Force 60 hz
Full Screen

I would imagine that using CRT would be better, but I don’t experience any lag on mine . . .

My settings are the same as his, minus the fullscreen. I use Double-sized window.

LCD, lags less than one frame
XP
Enhanced (D3D7), softfx double pixels, no prescale, scanlines on
Off
On
Windowed, triple size + full stretch, 16:9 aspect

LCD
win 7 64
enhanced blitter with all effects disabled
Triple buffering off
Force 60hz on
windowed, auto size

aero off

canonical settings? Greatly reduce latency issues when playing on ggpo

LCD
windows 7 64bit
enhanced
off
on
windowed
aero off

LCD - sub-1 frame according to the tech board thread
Windows 7 64-bit
Enhanced
Triple buffering - Off
Force 60hz on(?)
Windowed
Aero Off

Force 60hz is greyed out so I assume it’s on by default.

LCD
Win7 but only cause it doesn’t run on linux
??? Why more?
??? Why another?
??? Isn’t this gonna make it not like original?
Windowed
Aero off

CRT (custom alienware)
Win 7 - Aero off

Triple buffering off
Force 60hz on
