Questions about the Qanba Dragon and Obsidian

So i’m looking for a new stick to buy to eventually convert to a hitbox and I really like the look of the Obsidian and the Dragon. I noticed that below their plexi is this metal plate that seems fairly easy to remove. To anyone who owns these sticks, are the metal plates easy to remove, and will doing so hurt the stability of the stick?

If you really want to convert one to hitbox I say;
•Order the one you want and use it, now.
•If you still want a hitbox hit up the modder(s) that already create custom metal control panels for mass produced sticks to get pricing on what would be a custom commissioned control panel.(it’ll cost more then buying one from someone already selling them)
•If you don’t already have 30mm/24mm buttons ready to install you’ll
•Commision printed art for your custom control panel.
•So just be willing to commit an extra ~$130/ $200+ on top of your stick purchase.

To answer your questions;
•How much labor is involved with the factory control panel removal won’t be your problem, you’ll have plenty of time to undo a few nuts and screws by the time all the other prerequisites have been fulfilled.
•No it won’t effect the stability of the stick, just the stability of a light wallet & a unmounted JLF.

Why not just buy the official Hitbox?The Hitbox is supposed to be a small controller, as is the official one. It should be about the size of a keyboard. This helps with positioning of the hands when playing on it. Getting a controller meant to be a fight stick and turning it into a Hitbox defeats the purpose of using the Hitbox layout. It works yes, but its meant for a small controller.
