there is absolutely no way elena is a counter pick to makoto, ESPECIALLY if you main chun li, lol. its just throwing a curveball to freak out the makoto player.
the main reason elena doesnt appear much is shes not that fun to play.
I think Elena is a fun character to play as and the people I play against usually say I’m a lame player overall. I noticed a lot of players generally seem to not like elena. Is there really any reason you personally don’t find her all that interesting? Is it because she’s relatively straightforward compared to the rest of the cast?
Nobody said Elena was a counterpick to Makoto. If you’re used to Chun-Li, you do exactly what you’ve said, and what DJ was referring to - you change to Elena because she’s still similar in playstyle, but handles the match better.
I think Elena is a lot of fun to play. She’s like Chun with more emphasis on overheads and she breaks up throw games nicely which is usually a big part of the game. I used to mess with her a bit during casuals and what not.
well its obvious some people like to play elena, thats why there are elena players.
i dont play her because i dont think shes fun. im sure a lot of people would say the same. but if someone loved elena, i wouldnt tell them to pick someone else.
i was just answering the general question as to why shes not seen much.

KO’s Elena is pretty godlike. I don’t know if he’s mind reading or being random.
Because she really isn’t very interesting in any way. I don’t think it has anything to do with relative power, she’s just kind of boring imho.
