Question About PSN Gold

So with the recent PSN outage a few questions have come to my mind:
1.) Are all PSN users really going to receive a free 30 days of the PSN gold, or is it going to be a free 30 days for previous gold users?
2.) There are free games for PSN gold users; do you get to keep these games once gold runs out?

I really want to get some more fighting games and any free or discounted games are available it’d be great.
