Question about my aracde stick, input delay and problems

I own a Hori Soul Calibur V PS3 stick since 2013, the stick has held up pretty well over the years. The last two years for some reason when i would use it for PC it would lose connection signal and i would end up getting device unrecognized in windows. I noticed it would happen alot if i move the stick while playing, seems like usb problem but not sure.
Anyone has a similar issue with any other arcade stick?
Anyone know where i can find a 5 pin female usb cable for this stick?

Also im curious about my stick input delay, but im not finding anything on this site.

  1. Sounds like a problem with the USB cable.
  2. Any USB cable will work; just get a nice long USB A-B cable, cut off the “B” end, desolder the existing cable, and solder in the new one.
  3. Putting aside the fact that I personally think that input delay at the PCB level is blown way out of proportion, if the stick’s served you well since 2013, why is this a point of concern now?

thanks for the reply
I have never done soldering so im not exactly confident doing it.
I found qanba obsidian q3 usb cable uses same female 5 pin usb but the difference is hori has it backward…so plugging it backward onto the pcb connectors might not be secure.
As for the input delay im just curious, i dont want anything that puts me in disadvantage specially if input delay get anywhere near 16ms which almost a frame delay.
