I’m putting in PS 14Ks and an LS-58 on my new stick and I want to put some art in the buttons. The art is primarily white (character sprites) and I’m wondering if they’d show through the grey buttons well or if I should just go with clear? Looking for opinions or pictures from people who have done this. I really like the way the grey buttons look but I’m worried they’ll be too dark to see the art. Thanks!
Go with clear if you can find it… The grey does affect the hue of the colors on artwork.
I have transparent 24mm smoke screw-in Seimitsu buttons and they DO ratchet down the artwork a bit… I can still see the artwork but it’s not as clear and bright as the white/clearer buttons would have been.
The artwork WILL show up if you go ahead with the grey but don’t surprised when it’s not as bright as you might hope.
The same will happen with any other color you choose besides white/transparent, too.
Okay that’s about what I figured. Gotta figure out how I’m going to do the artwork then I’ll probably go with the straight clear. Thanks!
