A few questions, where did ya get the Plexi/Lexan from? And how did you modify the case to fit sanwas? I’m planning on using HAPPs but I’m still wondering about the sanwas.

Would it be possible to get a Sanwa box without it being stained & clearcoated?
I’d like to give it a painting myself.

The Sanwa case is an Astro City layout and we are looking at offering the unfinished option also.

It’s quite expensive. The package would weigh approximately 9 - 10 pounds and according to the USPS Calculator, it says $31.35 priority mail.

If you’d like to select a different button layout, there will be now be an option to choose.
Please check the update to the details page for the case you’re looking at with info on how to order either a 6 button Astro layout, or a 6 button straight American layout. For now, these are the only layouts we will offer.
Also, I would love to see someone use something other than the white iL stick so we can get some variety on the gallery page!
I would love to buy one of these and mod it the way japino did but with my own paint color, art and plexi. Can you put sanwa obsf 30’s or seimitsu PK-N’s in the button holes or do they have to be Happ buttons? Also, I checked out Happ’s site and the optical stick is exactly 3.75" in depth so will it be too tight in those boxes? Are the boxes available with the see through plexi for the bottom? Sorry for so many questions. I’m just brainstorming…
Yeah, I think you’re going to be cutting it close on the Optical stick. That’s a pretty big height on there.
If your heart isn’t set on the optical you should try the iL stick. It’s got a great feel and response.
As for the buttons, the Happ size holes are too small for Sanwa or Seimitsu.
My recommendation would be to consider Crown buttons. I used the 203C Crown buttons on my case (it’s the white case with the black Garou logo on the site).
They have a look and feel similar to Seimitsu and they fit perfectly in the Happ sized holes. Keep in mind that they need soldered, but it’s an easy solder as the contacts on the button are pretty big.
Sorry, we don’t offer the plexi option, Japino did an amazing job with one of our sticks and actually put the rubber feet / plexi on himself.
Bummer on the optical. Oh well.
Where can I get those buttons that you recommended? Which box is the one that Japino got. You have three versions on the site.
Well, Japino got a stick before we opened the website. Those are sticks that we use to offer, but don’t offer anymore since they are really small and hard for the users to work with.
BTW, here is a new prototype of the Sanwa. The design that we will be selling will actually have the 3 back holes in the middle so we can use 4 support posts instead of 3. Also the prototype is made out of pine, the new one will be made out of poplar.
