Qanba Obsidian USB cord

Anyone know where I can buy one. My dog chewed mine up!

Get any USB cord with a Type A USB 2.0 end. you can cut the other end off and splice it inside your stick.

Doesn’t that require soldering and stuff? He might not know how to do that…
Does the cable even disconnect from the stick dude? IF so what does the end that plugs into the stick look like. Post a pic.

I don’t know the internals of that particular Qanba stick. Also trying to find the exact cable with the exact plug for the board is next to impossible to find spares for.
Assuming that the USB cable can even unplug from the PCB.

There ways around not knowing how to solder, like crimp on butt connectors, a terminal strip, wirenuts
Even these little doodads from 3M https://www.altex.com/3M-Scotchlok-3-Wire-IDC-Butt-Connector-UR2-P145640.aspx?gclid=Cj0KEQjwnsPGBRDo4c6RqK-Oqu8BEiQAwNviCQmuJBrIiUuZsIkyxvMWQfsguwzLVbhpPPdDhHCycUgaArAS8P8HAQ

The 3M™ Scotchlok is stupid easy to use.

I personally use closed end connectors when I don’t feel like soldering. Dirt cheap to get in bulk and stupid easy to crimp. Terminal strip is good as well and only requires a small screwdriver but it can be hard to get the wire to stay in place while you screw down.

Does your Qanba USB cable use a JST connector at the end? If it does, measure it. It might be the same as the old Q1/Q2/Q4 cable that is available on paradisearcade’s shop. Please check it. If the JST is the same size, the only difference would be the door stop that exists on the Q4 cable.

Edit arcadeshock, not paradise. sorry.

If that cable does NOT fit, one thing you COULD do is email pexonpcs https://pexonpcs.co.uk/ and ask them if they can make a custom cable for you. They will need PICTURES of the original JST Connector and measurements. They usually make keyboard USB cables, but the Qanba is simply a USB cable with a certain sized JST connector, and different pinout order (power, D+, d-, ground, shield ground, not necessarily in that order).
