adam, what time will you be in on wednesday, i found the stuff for CS, and i’m free all day wednesday and thursday so i can come by and we can try to get them working.

Tim
first off thank you for your help last night on testing out BlazBlue and helping me with getting the proper button combinations set. The game will be going out on the floor this evening. Just have to print out the instruction set to place on the game.

The Color changing buttons are setup (to change character color) and the coin Mech are in working order.

As for Wednesday I will most likely not be over there till late 9:30 PM.

What about Tuesday

I like what I’m hearing here and I can tell where this is going… hype train time.

Also, PAX East is this weekend so Boston will see a GIANT influx of people wanting to play games (I mean, I’m going for all three days) from Thursday afternoon through Sunday/Monday morning. I wish I had thought of this earlier but you may want to jump on the PAX East forum real quick (I think there’s a thread where some people are planning to hit up PWA anyway) and tell people about the venue so you can maybe direct some traffic to the place. just an idea.

Thanks for the informaiton, it looks like from that PAX post there is a crew of people coming over for a competition for the evening from 7:00 - 10:00 PM Thursday

Kraig and I will be heading down tonight I will bring my harddrive in case you are there tonight we can try to make cs work

Since I’m not going to PAX, I don’t think I can compete in their little marathon. But I’ll be on CE hoping I can fight randoms

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift:
-Just finished the rest of the paint job on the cabinet and tied up loose ends on the hardware. Looking to get it out on the floor late tonight

PWAFighter

BlazBlue is now out on the floor. Come on by and play a few rounds…

For anyone going to PAX stop on By the American Classic Arcade room. We have been issues 3500 Sq feet and will have about 40 + arcade machines on free play (Second floor). We will also have a SF II CE cab on the floor as well. All machines on freeplay.

Tomorrow night (Thursday) between 7-10 there is a marathon contest to celebrate PAX this weekend. Stop on by.

there is some slight delay on the directions with the joystick on the bb cab, maybe we can take a look at it when you get back adam.
it’s weird, it’s either delay or the signals are really really inconsistent, at times i could do things just fine, others it was a struggle, and my execution is really really good for bb so something is up, it’s mostly 1/4 circle motions,i either have to grind out the motion or be super gentle, like stop and feel out every corner, maybe if we take the flash off the the microswitches so you can get at the connectors better, that might help.
otherwise i think it might have something to do with the joystick program, in which case we’ll just have to suck it up.

going to be hitting up pwa wednesday probably around 4 and will stay until around 9 if anyone wants to come meet me and play some games.

i believe some of the mass people (the anime fighter mass people) will be heading up saturday as well.

As for the arcade been pretty busy. Getting a shipment of about 25 games in this week (Stuff not on the floor) so been getting ready for that.
I am in process of having some custom cabs built for me to house some upcoming stuff for the fighter scene. Stay tuned.

Another email on coming out to PWA
Remember the more those fighter rows are populated on a regular basis the better positioning I have for making the case of purchasing and making the investment into SSF4AE with the proper equipment and other latest games.
As much as I love to make a place for the community you have to remember this is also a business and an investment in the software and hardware is not cheap, but if I can show that the community likes what we are doing and support the cause by coming out and making what we have now their home on a regular basis Then making the purchase is a no brainer.
But trying to make the argument about shelling an average of over $ 7000 when said and done and the community turnout is not that high at this time makes it a tough sell.
To all of you who have been coming out thank you.
In the meantime I have a few other plans to bring in some additional up to date stuff in the upcoming weeks for the fighting community.
Not trying to sound like a town crier but if we can get a larger turnout on a regular basis even on a once a week situation makes it much easier to get a latest equipment on the floor quicker. Let?s face it redemption is where the big money maker is in the arcade market these days so let try to buck the trend and change that.
PWA is more than willing to make the investment and bring new games in however we need to make sure there is a motivation to do so. If we have a regular community invested in a style of games then we will help that grow by bringing in new stuff.
On a side note.
I know I talked about doing some competitions on some of the units in the upcoming months (and still plan on it) but if anyone is looking to throw a competition soon PWA would be willing to throw in some pretty good prizes that everyone would enjoy (trust me when I say good prizes). Also I would be down for hosting some of console competitions in our game room if there is an interest. (Email me if that is something the community would be down with. PWA could look at supplying the static hardware Monitors and projectors if the community wanted to bring consoles and their own controller gear). If there is an interest let chat.

Again not trying to bring a rally cry to the community but if we want to start to see some of the latest stuff we need to show that there is a much bigger foundation. And who knows if we have a few large groups show up I might throw some quick competitions with some prizes on the spot.

Sorry for being long winded. Thanks for listening and let me know if you have questions I am always open to suggestions. Come on out and support PWA, Tell other people in the fighting community as well. If you guys can make it home on a regular basis I will make sure your community is take care of with the latest games.
