And ladies and Gentlemen…this is why juri players are ass.
I’ll just sum up everything…
It can work, but as I said…its too tight to use seriously. I use this often and I’m often upset I do it because its not enough invincibility frames. So if it works for you great…but you shouldn’t be doing that.
Furthermore, if youre doing it at times you “have enough time to react and see what to do next” you’re doing it randomly.
So…yea…lets just leave it at that. You can dispute this…but…all i’ll do is say “play me and show me”
Well i can see why u might hate frame data, seeing as the invinvicbility on FSE is pretty much like 1 frame if not 2 at that, meaning it still loses to meatys with more than 1 active frame. I wouldnt like to know that either lol, but for real, thats a pretty damn bad idea, if your using FSE for the invincibility at any points, ur doing something really wrong, you at that point decide to leave your fate to the random factor or whether or not you will get punished, and thats real gimmicky man.
Wakeup Ultra in and itself is a scrubby ass thing to do in frequency thats no different with U1, you are in fact very, very punishable after activating it, most characters can just counter ultra you after the freeze, thats a match losing strategy right there and hardly represents solid play overall.
Regarding Guile, he can do meaty flash kicks from max distance to make them relativly safe, either you dont seem to spot these very well or dont know what to do vs them. If you get hit with these meaty flash kicks, dont try a walk up normal or sweep, you can only punish with Hk pinwheel and mk super, if your feeling awesome you can attempt to divekick punish them. The divekick punish pretty much requires you hold up while in block stun to nail the punish ASAP, which probably means you need to anticipate them doing it, so yeah its just a harder, higher payout punish.
I have no hate for frame data at all i don’t even look at it, thats just because i was playing fighters from a time when frame data didn’t exist. Trial, error as well as getting my ass handed to me is how i prefer to learn on any fighter just my personal preference.
Now whats funny to me is some of ppl that masturbate to frame data guides and tier list like its a playboy mag:lol: For pro players sure run that frame data, they have the skill to make real use of it because they already know how to play the game. However if you’re anything but above average, developing a strategy among many any other things should be of greater concern. Any good player will tell you, “PRACTICE”
Once again the self proclaimed God of all that is Juri has spoken:pray: Listen i think we’ve wasted enough of each others time here, continue to do your thing and ill do mine. GG’s.
On a lighter note:
One of my Juri Matches from like 3 weeks ago
Just let the guy use FSE on wake up if he wants! lol. It’s not the end of the world. If I find out something that often works for me online, I’m not going to stop doing it simply because its mathematically not safe. Just saying.
Scarecrow? Word? Is that how you niggas view me? If thats the case then I’ll just chill out and back off. But all I’ve tried to do is Help the forums and Juri’s out there. Thats why when i go out I talk to Juri’s, thats why I make videos to show you what I can do to bring awareness of our queen. But if I’m pushing people away then…fuck it.
Sorry, I am being cranky…but you’re standing up to someone who’s obviously wrong and is trying to pass it off like me and mike are the jerks because we call him on his shit. COME ON!
Fine…I’ll back off…but then you’re left with people passing off information like that with no checks and balances. ::shruggs:: have fun.
Aww come no man. Don’t see it like that. That’s not what I meant. Besides I was totally joking!
What I mean is everytime someone tries to say their opinion or post a vid out here then someone jumps on them saying how they’re scrubby or dumb and that’s not really good. That’s why so many are afraid to post I think. Then again this is just my opinion. I might be wrong…
I mean yeah some people just say false information and it’s important to correct them when that happens. But all I’m saying is there’s a correct way of saying it. No need to insult people.
I’m not going, but I guess I gotta treat people with like…gentle care. Not to shatter their self esteem.
Whatcha gonna do when people are yelling how scrubby you are IN PERSON, DURING, your matches? Man up. But I guess thats being a dick so I’ll fall back. My fault guys…Bad day…shouldnt have taken it out on you. Sometimes i read things that I disagree with severely and I like…snap back.
On a serious level though…This topic frustrates me because I’ve said many times “I DO THIS TOO” and I still wouldnt recommend it. Hell, I still do this vs jump in’s and throw attempts. It has its usage. El Fuerte is not one of those uses. And its frustrating hearing something and you correct them (although brutal and dickish) and they fire back with “Thats your opinion”. Then I go “not opinion, here are the facts”.
I dunno…to calm down and such…using it vs Elf in that way is asking for it. I call Big foot on this and I’d like to see it applied as I brought it into the lab and saw no time in which this was good on wake up.
@Kail ---- THIS IS NOT AN ATTACK ----- Dont worry, you didn’t shatter anyone’s self esteem today. I realized you were not really reading my post when your responses became more and more belligerent, i just found it funny after that.
On a Serious note though, if you take the time to reread our conversation, you will see that i never said anyone was right or wrong about anything. All i did was state my opinions and outlook on other uses for U1 as well as other subjects, never did i claim to be right about anything.
I guess you just got so warped up in the fact that i said i use U1 that way, you were blinded and disgusted how technically wrong, scrubby or unsafe it is. Its simple to me, i found a new trick, technique, gimmick, scrub tactic, whatever you wanna call it and i find it useful, until i feel like its not working out, im gonna run it.
There really was nothing to get so worked up about. People are gonna do what they want to do,and you’ll soon learn that arguing with someone’s opinion is an uphill battle. But arguing with someone option and calling them stupid while you do it, gets you nowhere fast. There are better ways to have a debate.
Anyway- Sorry you had a bad day man, drink a beer, smoke a cig (if you smoke) and bust a nut then smoke another cig. That combination is Godlike.:china:
I use u1 like that too, just never vs fuerte I’m saying that you shouldn’t based on my experiments with it. But I’m also asking for clarification, because when I do it the timing is really strict and half the time I’m hit out of it. So instead of taking the risk blocking works Better.
But if you have information I don’t, I want it. I’ve never used it vs fuerte because the risk involved was too great and all my experiments failed.
Ok well, first a disclaimer. I only play this online so i dunno how it works in the real world. So, you know how when feute knocks you down, when you’re waking up you have to play that annoying paper rock scissors.
The 3 main things people usually do, body splash, tortilla or the slide. Usually you have time to at least try guess something, rarely is the feute shit so meaty than i must just block. But if you do have time to do something the only thing u (i) can see coming is the slide, but if he goes air born u gotta guess either dash forward or back.
-Thats all common knowledge -
Now for the way i use Ultra 1- I’m knocked down and this fucker is running at me, so i know one of the 3 is coming about half a second before im on my feet and able to do something if he didn’t go air born i will not U1 because if slides U1 will get stuffed by time the activation starts.
However, if at that time (that half second or so) he goes airborn, i activate U1. When I’ve done it you have that split second after U1 is fully activated and time is still frozen to look at feute and see what animation he’s in. Thats the golden time, you’ll know its Torillia if he’s in the back flip animation so you can just jump, or dash back if you’re not cornered. If he’s not back flipping u know the the body splash (or bodyslpash throw) is coming and you can decide if you want to dash forward or back depending on position and trajectory.
It works great for his air born options if the timing is correct, that split second freeze just after the U1 animation lets you see whats coming and gives you enough time to react and not get stuffed. But, if its the slide you’re gonna get stuffed anyways, unless maybe if they slide way outside.
I dunno for sure but U1 should also work if he’s doing the super meaty body splash, you get that one weird frame of invincibility when you start up and the splash should whiff (works for other meaty attacks)… But at that point u may as well just block or play the guessing game and not ultra, because the odds or only 25-33% that you wont get hit.
Im telling you, I was playing Feute and activated U1 out of frustration on wake up, saw the move coming and said (OH SHIT) reacted and punished heavy. Then used it the same way on other feutes and had pretty good success with it, better than just flat out guessing. I cant break it down in frames or exact timing but try in with a friend in training mode or something, if you don’t wanna risk in in tourneys or online.
You know habanero dash sudden stop is 3 frames, right? So he has 3 frames to decide what he’s gonna do off he stops right before the frame you activate.
And if he’s running while you activate he can still stop and block.
Essentially you’re saying you’re using it right at the time he commits to some action. You don’t know what it is but the moment you think he’s gonna press a button you activate to see what button he pressed?
