Tough break vs Ryu. What’s the whiff j.MP into the corner all about? End of the first round the Ryu whiffed a DP trying to AA it. Is that what it does? basically keeping Juri’s center far enough back that the DP will never auto-correct?
A trick he seems to do on wake-up lately is jump over > EX Divekick to make it whiff but hit backdashes.
Ah, I’ve seen him cross-up with j.mp in the corner, I think he was going for that. That Ryu was pretty sweep happy though, and he was whiffing sweeps all over the place. Good Time could have whiff punished them with cr.mk or sweep perhaps, but then again, it’s online.
yea, but that ryu was pretty ok. he whiffed punished good time a lot and even read his cr tech with ex tatsu to metsu. overall it was a solid match. but good time made a few twitch mistakes. like that random dive kick at the first round and ryu somewhat punished with jab jab jab lol.
Yeah, that Ryu definitely knew what he was doing. I think that Ryu missed his jabs into sweep link that time lol, which is why his punishment for the Dive was weak.
Good Time vs Rose was cool stuff, though it’s so awkward to poke at Rose.
I didn’t know you could cancel kasatushi into ex senpusha.

You can cancel armored moves into any move that has higher input priority. EX Kasatushi can be cancelled into EX Senpusha, EX Fuhajin, Fuharenjin, or either Ultra.

yea, i’m surprised didn’t punish that hk pin. and didn’t try to absorb any FB’s with reflect. he must have got punished by a juri with dive after reflect before lol. it was good play as always from good time.
What’s with the fireball spam against Rose? Is it supposed to be good in that matchup?
It’s not a bad idea, though at first glance, it would seem like it haha. Like D_Dollars said, Reflect/Absorb can be punished by Dive if she decides to use it against Fuhajin. If they reflect it upwards, you’d have to angle your Dive pretty well, otherwise you’re gonna get tagged.

I’ve definitely learnt my lesson regarding Demon Flips, jump back hk, dash under, or just block if unsure. Don’t ask me why the Akuma was going for resets though, if he had gone for knockdowns, I would have been extra toast.

ryuga, i saw nothing dry about those matchs. i saw solid play. and that is never boring imo. i like how you whiff punished ryu c mk with tk dive. i like to do that also since juri walk speed makes whiff punishing hard. and nice use of st mk. oh! and versus gouki, if i know a demon flip is coming from either full screen or mid screen, i just jump back roundhouse, works like a charm. and if they right in front of you trying to mix you up with demon flip, you can just dash under to escape pressure on reaction. i think ultra 2 on reaction might work but i haven’t tried this yet.
Thank you very much! I’ve been trying to play solid recently, it’s not going great lol, but in this instance, I was a bit lucky. It’s not normally how I try to play, I’m usually more offensive and don’t block lol, why is why I said it was kinda dry. but I’ve been experimenting with dives to deal with low pokes like cr.mk, similar to how Cammy can use her dives to go over low pokes.
I believe Ultra 2 would work against Flips, but yeah, I will definitely just jump back roundhouse or dash underneath!
