I was at a small league session ( first of a new season ) on Saturday and this was the only match I played in front of the camera.
That session made me realize just how disadvantaged Juri really is in the laggy environment that is online and how far I’ve come since I started playing her. I played 8 matches on the day and won 6 of them, only being beaten by godlike Hakan ( ! ) and a Ryu player.

Nice man. I did notice you blocked a lot of projectiles on wakeup. I try to do kasatushi to avoid chip damage.

Wow, awesome. Maybe it’s because I’m really sleepy, but that seemed way faster than the current store/release. At least store seemed to definitely be faster.
Also that was my first time seeing Yang, I’m kind of exited for more than just Juri changes now.
it does look faster, looks good for juri so far, i could just imagine the corner combos with this new store and release… now if only juri can deliver high damage like that…haha 2 bad it was a time cut :P.

looks like you’re getting eaten alive on abel’s wakeup game…it seems like he’s getting in your head with those tornado throws. sadly i don’t have anything specific, just my observations, since i’m still kinda learning with juri too.
Yeah, I don’t know what happened really lol. I just wasn’t defending properly and was in panic mode. Can’t believe I couldn’t catch on to that Abel player in time, it was really sad. I played awfully.
I don’t think you should be rushing down so much against Abel. Once he’s knocked you down, you really can’t get out of the vortex unless you guess right. It’s much easier to just stay at a distance and try to lock him out. Air-to-air didn’t seem to be working either, so it’d probably be better to mainly fight him from the ground. When you activate Feng Shui Engine, don’t forget to hit-confirm, and don’t drop your combo if you hit.
Also, don’t ever get hit by Breathless.

Well, those weren’t too exciting. Seriously, there’s almost no good showings of Juri in tournaments. We should ask Ono to make some videos on how they thought people should be using Juri.
I think that first video is a good demonstration of how you should be using her, except for all the execution mistakes, of course.
