At 2:29 Poongko pauses by accident which made him automatically lose the round. The judges don’t respond until round 4 though.

Infiltration (Juri) vs. zerstin83 (Honda)

Probably the best Juri player out there.

My vids again, sorry for terrible quality yet again and please feel free to comment.

Damn, that first round against viper was a pretty nice sequence. I dont play Juri much, but that def gave me some ideas on things to go for and how to approach and keep the pressure on.

Thanks!

I normally don’t try and outright rush people down, unless it’s against chars without decent defensive options. Normally, rushing doesn’t usually work out too well for me.

This is what I was talking about in the match-up thread.

That seems way too impractical to even bother trying.

Yup, it is. Unless you’ve got the timing down, I wouldn’t use it. I did say in the other thread it wouldn’t see much use, if any. Plus there are better fuzzy guard set-ups. But oh well, it’s something new. And who knows, maybe someone can make use of it.

first SSF4 vid i’ve posted. Some fireball zoning against a less than mediocre gief. sorry for black bars rolling across my old ass sdtv

?

But yours is stand-teching though. When I knock them down, they’re crouching all the way through, normally you can’t land it on a crouching opponent. So wouldn’t that make mine a true fuzzy guard? Unless I confused what you said, or I’m going mega blind lol. Plus you can connect a j.mp on Gouken standardly when he’s standing up, same with several chars. But your throw-baiting is more practical haha, so I guess it doesn’t really matter.

Well fuzzy guarding is done after a jump-in attack to take advantage of the block stun >.> So really, neither of ours is truly a “fuzzy guard” per se, but yours is closer to the idea than mine. Also, I think your trick is plenty practical because it takes advantage of the standing frames from a knock-down recovery even though they’re holding down-back which ultimately causes them to get hit  Like Cammy and Hakan’s hooligan setups though, the setup is susceptible to mashing a crouching attack forcing the 1-frame crouching position and reversals so I dunno about using it on a character like Ryu XD

But yeah, when I saw the video at first, I didn’t notice the dummy was set to crouch =) So I apologize for that :lovin:

Hey Eish, no worries, no need to apologize at all! I hope I didn’t sound like a proper douche when I said that though, if I came off that way, I’m sorry. And you’re right, it doesn’t take advantage of block stun at all so it’s not a true Juri fuzzy guard set-up like Alioune’s or the ones Beam was doing. The reason why I say it’s impractical is because…well, it is very hard to hit that window. Unless there’s a surefire way to time it(I used crouching LP to help time it but it’s not guaranteed.)

And definitely never use it against Ryu or anyone with a DP LOL, you’ll get mash DP’d right out.

Watching the vids, nice stuff!

I just noticed you hit Gen with a fireball, dashed then combo’d a cr.lk off it, need to steal that haha.

My Juri again, against Rog.

Screwed up in the 2nd match, getting hit by EX Dashes too much when trying to store fireballs, should have done something about that really, screwed up at the end as well.

That Rog wasn’t on point with AA’s. The couple of times you did j.LK to get in he didn’t really put up much of a defense. You got reasonable damage out of combos landed that way, so I wonder how the match would have gone if he didn’t get hit by them. I’ve been playing Juri a while and I’m still not getting the results I want because I know I’m not playing to her strengths. One thing I know I do wrong is trying to put op a surprise offense with divekicks. It’s a hard habit to get rid of because it sometimes works. I saw you doing that a few times and when you think about his c.LP it’s just risky if they know how to punish (into EX upper since they probably won’t have distance or time to combo into headbutt). I like your use of EX fuhajin when you have meter instead of comboing into Fuhajin store. It’s rare that I find an opening for her Super so I think I’m gonna start using it more myself.

I agree with everything you said, completely correct(I’m not being sarcastic btw lol, I’m being genuine.) I agree, his AAs were not on point and he could have used cr.lp to punish, though, if it hits below the waist and at the tip of their feet, would have I have been safe? I’ll test that out. There’s some old matches of me vs Rog and I do the same thing…except I get totally pwned.

I prefer EX Fuhajin because if I whiff Fuhajin during a blockstring, I get pwned lol. Plus, it’s much safer than all versions of Senpusha and on hit or block, I get the advantage, best of both worlds.

This guy just saved you the effort of doing the testing! Very serendipidous.

I may get some games in tonight so I can post a vid and you guys can have at me.

Sweet stuff!
