Hmm, it seems that you guys have an active scene once again (last time I was at Purdue was when Jon was a freshman I believe). Are those of us around Purdue welcome to come? Also, what games are you playing and on what system? Could this be done earlier in the day as well? I’ve got work Monday. Just asking and I’ll post back if I’m coming for sure based on your reply.
yeah man you are DEFINITELY welcome to come. I really am trying to get the old school people to merge with us guys :D. We have 1 killer in both Blazblue and SF4, and those are the main games we play. Keep in mind we have only had 2 gatherings
But we have most of em, like 3s, HDR, MvC2, GG (#reload for xbox), and KOF12 etc. The most healthy game is SF4 obviously, but anthony hasnt brought his BB crew yet. We have a DC with 0 controllers a Wii with no joysticks and a PS3 with one TE stick, and a PS2 with no joysticks on it or fighting games. In the main room we got 2 TVs one has a PS3 connected to it another has a 360 to it. Then in my room (like right next to it) we have another 360 hooked up to another TV, but we cant find the other version of sfiv so we only got sfiv on in the main room.
What time would you want it to be on sundays?
PS only have a few joysticks so BYOC everyone if you got one.
Tonio - Thanks so much for the warm reception. I would have like the meetings to have been at about four, possibly three, but I won’t be able to come now because my wife MAY be starting to have labor pains. I’ll have to see how things are going before I would even think of coming down. Do you have a number by chance that I can reach you on, and do you think Purdue may host future tournaments at some point?

All right. To make things clearer for those who know me, this is Ahmed A.K.A. 'Fro. You’ve probably run into me at some point at the Union arcade playing 3S maining Ryu. I already have an idea of who some of you are on the thread. In any case, I was just recenty informed of this thread. I would like to have a gathering this weekend for sure. My room can hold six people not including myself. (I live in a Cary Quad Suite). If you guys have a better, larger venue, then I have no qualms with lugging my PS3 and Hori stick over there. However, I would definitely need help with my rather fat TV, as it nearly broke my back last time I tried to walk with it for too long. I would prefer Saturday.
Oh, and if there wasn’t a set games list, I’ll throw out that I play SFVI and the underrated KOFXII. I play some other obscure titles, but I’ll leave that for when we meet. Looking forward to some GGs!
you should come over to these fight nights im having every sunday, we got 3 TVs and a PS3/360 hooked up to each so you dont have to lug that TV around.
These fight nights are sounding hype and I will keep an eye on this thread to find a possible time to get down wit y’all. John is busy wit a ton of work at the moment as well I know that, but I know he is interested also so we’ll see what happens in the coming weeks.

Hmm, looks like I might pickup KOF12 when the price drops (or anyone know a cheap place to buy right now?) since the netcode has improved. And what’s this deal about a Super Street Fighter 4? Been out of the loop lately on Shoryuken news.
Eventhubs.com has done a pretty good job covering Super SF4, pics of T. Hawk and one of the new characters (Juri) are up now.
Apparently Capcom has more or less confirmed it without giving an official announcement.
