ur right venomish, shouldnt cost too much, im gonna check my finals schedule and maymester start date, but if all that clears then count me in
I need to see if I can find an alternate date for a final, if so count me in for MWC
ggs last night Anthony.
I’m thinkin about having a SF4 session this weekend, how many people would be interested in that?
i’d be definitely interested :). dude how did you mod ur tvc stick?!?! im really looking into buying a MC Cthulu board or w/e for my 360 stick to work with GC/PS2/PS3
GGs John…and you know I’m defiantly interested
tony, I modded my stick with a cthulhu board. Mine wasn’t multi-console, just the PS3 one, but I doubt a MC one is much different. It was really easy overall, and only took a couple hours.
wow you are quite the industrious fellow, I will follow in your footsteps and finally start modding myself! Did you have to do any soldering? & did you have to solder another usb cable for the PS3 compatibility? After looking into using a MC Cthulu in a 360 stick to add GC and PS2 compatibility it seems like I would have to solder a GC and PS2 cord or use some sort of RJ45 Jack, not to mention making my XBOX USB compatible with PS3. What I wanna do seems way outta my league… plus the GC and PS2 cord lengths are only 6ft that you have to use in the mod, its not looking like I can do it…
yeah I had to solder wires from the cthulhu’s screw terminals to the quick disconnects the buttons are wired to. That part was pretty easy, though. Luckily I didn’t have to deal with cords at all since the wii just has its little wireless dongle, I just plugged a USB cord straight into the port on the cthulhu and was all set. I’m not sure how much of a pain it is to wire up multiple cords, but I can’t imagine it’s that bad.
But anyway, yeah you will need a soldering iron, a drill, and a variety of screwdriver bits and screws.
hey guys so the plan is SF4 in my dorm room tomorrow at 7:00. Hillenbrand room 532 on the guy’s side. If possible, could someone bring a copy of the PS3 version of the game? My roommate has a PS3 but not SF4. If not, we can play the PC version on my computer but that’s kind of a pain.
Call or text me if you get lost, my number’s 812 340 8343.
Sounds good, i’ll be there
My copy of SF4 as at home with all my PS3 stuff…so if someone else could bring SF4 for PS3 it would be nice
ill bring it for the PS3… I changed my mind for now on the modding btw, I think im just gonna put a PS2 pcb in the stick and use converters for the other systems. anyone know of some cool looking balltops/buttons i could put on a TE stick? cooler than diff colors/transparency i mean.
thanks tony.
Also yeah it’s not a bad idea to just go 360/PS2, converters from ps2 to ps3 and ps2 to gamecube are pretty cheap and lagless.
hey, i left my phone at my parent’s house before coming back from spring break, i’ll be at hillenbrand @ exactly 7 though… can you just meet me at the lobby or something? is akuma unlocked on ur ps3 btw!!!
You can just come on up, no one cares about escorting here and the doors don’t lock until like 11. Turn right at the dining court, then take the elevator at the end of the hall.
Also I totally forgot about unlockable characters. Is there some way to transfer save files? My roommate’s PS3 doesn’t have a SF4 save or anything.
somehow i believe you can, i remember hearing thats why ps3 is the standard at evo, one of the reasons at least. You can transfer the save somehow, i think it causes lag or something though… not sure.
WOW BEST SESSION EVER 4 ME!!! if you’re gettin salty it means you wanna get better and win, that’s all im gonna say. love the competitive environment there tonight. MORE!!!, we really need to get more games in if we dont wanna be free at MWC. i’ll have one tmrw if needed, sunday 28th, but I only have an xbox (roomates ps3 is at home)
BTW WE NEED MORE/DIFFERENT COMPETITION AT THESE SESSIONS
P.S. anyone notice we always have to unlock the characters like everytime? fuckin thank god ssf4 shit comes unlocked…
I’m pretty much busy all day today, no SF4 for me
GGs last night and I’m also busy today
oh ok whens the next time you guys wanna play?
If you guys are looking for the best in-state comp for SF4, 3S, or ST/HDR then you need to start coming to Paul Nannie’s gatherings in Muncie. He is hosting at a rate of almost once every 2 or 3 weeks. There is a lot of comp and variety there, and this is also where the state qualifiers for the PU2010 SSF4 teams will be held.
Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Muncie is currently represented at these gatherings. I know South Bend is thinking about coming a few times in the future. It would be nice if Purdue joined in also.
