If the US economy suffers, then the economies of those other nations would also suffer and they still wouldn’t be in any better position to provide aid to rebels in the US. You’re also neglecting nuclear weapons. Would it be worth the threat of a nuclear holocaust to support a rebellion?
What are all of those hillbillies going to do when they start to run low on food and water? Are they going to eat and drink their guns? What about health care and clothing? They would also start fighting amongst themselves over the dwindling resources. Besides, most Americans simply would not be able to handle the conditions that would exist in a guerrilla war because of how spoiled they’ve become. Most Americans can’t handle not having the internet for 24 hours and you’re suggesting that they would be able to hold out in a guerrilla war?
We already have a real world example of why this would never work. Remember the Civil War? Why do you think Britain and France didn’t provide aid to the Confederacy? Do you really think that a bunch of hillbillies with guns would have been able to carry on a guerrilla war and defeat the Union when the South was already on the verge of starvation?

Technology is expensive. The government pays for it because we the people pay for it. If the people can’t work, the people can’t pay taxes, and the government won’t be able to afford anything.
One thing that the government often forgets is that even the military, police, etc, are all people. There is a limit to how evil one can be. If American soldiers would be told to fire on the American people, I doubt that those responsible for that order would fully get away with it.
You’d think every day, run-of-the-mill Germans would listen to their conscience and not throw Jews into ovens and gas showers, too, but here we are!
