Why do we even talk about race anymore like it even means anything?
The reason racism exists is because that we give race too much meaning.

^It doesn’t mean anything biologically, but it is still a very real social reality.

I hear 20 years old.
SRK really has too many jaded black people, holy fuck.
Okay, your second point is completely correct, I 100% agree with you on that no joke. But, I’m saying we shouldn’t throw stones.
lol we argued like 8 years ago and I don’t think have really talked since. We’re doing a good job of being civil right now.
Good points. The only thing I disagree on is that we should not talk about the issues just because it keeps happening. At some point it might just get unbearable enough for a civil conversation leading to some real change. I’m not holding my breath though…
The reason racism exists today is because of this.
Not because people are talking about racism. Anti-racism/reverse racism is the racism. Shit is so fucking stupid that you would have to be simple to even buy into it.
Anyways, white devils need to take care of their crazy psycho kids before they start worrying about immigrants.
Sick.
That’s it.
The NRA is bankrolled either partially or mostly by gun manufacturers, last I checked. Gun manufacturing is a billion-dollar industry in this country, and really only here and a couple of other places, so that’s why they try to block every little thing coming up in Congress. They don’t want to put in laws that will cost them money. I think Clinton let that assault weapons ban expire when he was in office and the manufacturers went on a spree. They made bank. Also, politicians who have tried to take on the gun industry were crushed. None of them survived. This is where term limits would help, but congressmen all worry about keeping their jobs.
This one time may be different, since 20 gotdamn children were killed, and dead children is bad publicity for anyone to fight. I know the saying goes that all publicity is good publicity. No, it isn’t. Bad publicity is bad publicity. This is toxic. Any politician trying to block a bill backed by parent(s) of any one of these dead children is going to be bombarded by shit and will probably be forced out of office.
They put those same guns in the hands of children, lol shit aint gonna change EVEN if a few white babies have to die. Shit they kill white babies every day and then get mad because some poor mexican lady can’t afford to have an abortion every 3 months.
^STFU Raz0r and stop blaming the 1%. Stupid motherfucker waging class warfare on gun manufacturers.
Obviously there’s zero correlation between gun company profits and gun control laws, it’s just us blaming the 1%(btw guys I don’t care where you stand on the gun control debate or even your entire political orientation if you have one, reading that post has got to be some of the stupidest shit I have ever seen on SRK)
…:bluu:
I fully support gun manufacturers. This was a deranged man stealing his mother’s guns and killing people with them. I see no reason why the gun industry should be punished.
^Not saying you were blaming them. I was moreso trolling an idiot in this very thread as you established a connection between gun sales & gun control laws that even a two year old should be able to see.
Am pro-gun and would not back down on that.

Case closed. LOL…U mad now?
To be fair, gun manufacturers can’t control what people do with their products.
^Relax Ginyu I’m just trolling
Just an FYI - it wasn’t a mosque, it was a Sikh temple. Apparently the shooter thought it was a mosque.
As for the race issue, the only thing that bothers me is that since this guy was white he’s automatically mentally disturbed or something. If this guy was Arab, he’d be a “terrorist” and we all know it. If he were black, he’d be a thug or something. That’s my only beef as far as racism goes w/ this.
Honestly though, all this is a conversation for another day. There are 27 people dead - 20 of which are children. Now isn’t the time for anybody to start using this as a flag to champion their political or social ideals.
^Yeah though on the other hand people would just kill with other items. Sure it’s harder psychologically to kill someone up close and personal with a knife or some other implement, but it’d still happen.
edit: Another criticism I have of this video is how she completely sweeps the pro gun side under the rug, practically making a caricature of them. Whether she likes it or not for many pro gun people there’s a deep psychological commitment behind their stance, whether it’s to guns themselves, the 2nd amendment, or anything else. It’s not a simple matter of 'DONT TAKE MAW GUNZ". Though it’s also not just this commitment either, I’d bet you find that most gun people have carefully thought their stance out just like anti-gun people have(and those in between), it’s just the whackjobs get the most air time.
edit@raz0r: Though to your point on “punishing the gun industry”, I think most people here don’t even have the thought of “punishing the gun industry” in their heads when thinking of solutions, so I don’t know where you got that from.
Quick answer: The problem lies somewhere in the american psyche. I don’t know where, but it’s there.
The incident itself was sick enough, but it really ticks me off that people go around doing stuff like this in the aftermath:
