its not the same casting cost as counterspell. Its prolly 1UU casting cost or something. UU is the counterspell cost, and other counterspell either costs more and does more or costs less and does less, but UU will always be basic CS only.

Prod, you could also use some “Man-lands” (lands that turns to creatures) for your deck… Faerie Conclave isnt too bad, especially if youre on a budget.
Also just in case you dont know, since you love drawing cards (who doesnt) If you have plenty of lands out, you could capsize your own creature (the Thalakos Seer you put in) at the end of opponent’s turn… so that you can draw a card. If youre really desparate for card.

Frank: Funny ass stuff today. So I was playing in a 4-way magic game. Me, Derrick, Ryan (some azn guy with r/g) and Black Tony White. NOW, I was using Enrique’s deck (g/r semi-elf-ballish) and I was hungry, so I said I was gonna end the game quick. Then BTW tells me to leave the game because they want to play for fun. I stayed to play anyways (tony was playing his straight black endless whispers deck) and I had a really good opening hand (something like mountain, forest, llanowar elves, queer elves, queer explorer, queer explorer, reclaim.) I ended up drawing a fireball and some kinda reckless charge with buyback and a priest of titania. I killed Tony really quick and he busts out all angry and says “Tom, your a fucking queer, you always play to win, I’m sick of playing you.” I told him back “You have NO cards in your hand, you played them all on me, so you must be playing serious.” He comes back and says to me “I’m not even going to explain myself to you.” I ended up winning the game shortly afterwards anyways. :encore: How can he even begin to accuse me of that? I wasn’t even playing my own deck, and it was a free for all. He posed the most threat, so I took him out. :bgrin: I RUSH THAT SHIT DOWN IN MAGIC! :wow: You know those guys who played GGXX (the bald guy with Potemkin and the other guy with Venom who called me ghay), WELL their friend Mike dropped by. And if you want commons, just go to the House of Gaming (i think its like, 6010 Irving park). He has them all organized all neat and stuff, and its like, 5 for a dollar. plus, they play every Tues and Sat, some more hardcore than others but generally they play for fun using type 1.5 and stuff.
