Psycho Science: Fundamentals of Dictator and more! (Learn here)

I don’t use that move nearly enough! Started catching people with neutral jump fierce though. roundhouse is OK, but a bit disappointing. Other than that many of his neutral jump attacks kind of suck.

try neutral jump MP…lol xD

with good spacing neutral mk stops hondas headbutt nasty.

interesting so you hit him on the way down?

Bison’s neutral jump punch attacks are funny looking. It’s hilarious when they actually hit. His jump in jab is this awkward superman pose type thing.
Ever since that one video, I make a point to punish whiffed Ken Ultras with a neutral jump mp.

That nj. mk stuffing Honda’s headbutt sounds very situational. I guess you could bait by doing an empty neutral jump.

Yeah it’s very situational, to a point where it can be downright luck. St.rh can stuff headbutts too but you don’t see anyone always trying for it, the reward isn’t worth the risk.

neutral jump mk and fk ftw

seriously, I figured that shit out when I used to mess up HS back in the day.

This is Kind of dangerous i think to Jump inot Honde Headbutt… probably more effective to FA it i say. I’m kind in love with FA.

Yea, i’m new to site and i just read the 10 pages today… was long but damn constructive!

Here is some of imo subjects u guys didn’t clarify on the way.

For Blanka Balls: I saw that som1 specified Blanka has to HP for Bison to be able to Punish into mk or hk sk. I say that Mp ball and maybe lp balls can be punished the same way, just charge back while the hitstun and then wait for the drop down animation of the ball to launch the Sk.

For Zangief Lariat: Again, i saw a post about hitting Lariat with fingertip of DR. I’m not sure if he ment hitting the arm with the fingertip of Bison or Hit theHead of Geig with the fingertip. Imo, all the time i DR on Geif and he Lariat, i aim the head and it never trades (Lariat has to be in progress though)

For Vega’s wall jumps: I am lucky that my roomate plays Vega as Main… and only character. So he gets rly good with him. SO, i learnt that FA is kind useless Vs good Vegas… assuming they can grab you out of it like…90% of the time. I found a nice way to avoid that: When Vega jumps on the wall, charge down as fast as possible to DR. However, the timing is kind cool, you have to wait for Vega to jump away of the wall to trigger DR; Bison jumps with vega a little bit higher than him and press punch to avoid the Claw attack, go higher and punish on the way back. (Watchout to not stay too close of Vega or he will grabs you!)

Also too much FA is dangerous Vs vega because EX drill punish it so hardly and easily!.

Now concerning PC, i agree with most of you about the fact that it is damn hard to land it without been punished. However, i say its a good move. Does lots of dmg and stun, the EX version is awesome (exept the starting frame that is possible to be grabed out of it grrr…)
Also, i occasionnaly use the lp PC from long range to mind fuck the ennemi. ( I support you who ever said it previously! :D) Ppl tend to jump over the PC to avoid it… and jumps wight in front of me… so trow or s.hk is nice after it, or even block! You will be surprised how ppl are stressed online xD.

Now look at the first combo of this video.

The first time i saw that i was… OMGWTFBBQ!!! and then i learnt to master it, very nice though and ppl sends me msg somtimes after a match just to know how i did it :P.
Here is the hint for ppl how doesn’t know yet:

You have to jump first and the opponent needs to jumps on your way back to floor. Hit mp once and keep f. jump pressed so when you land, Bison will jump right ahead. Then just mpx2 and ultra. However, i never looked the dmg tab so i don’t know if it is worth 1 more hit, but it’s omg fun to do! ^^ ( You can do this combo everywhere on the stage, corners are little bit harder though due to the fact that Bison lands rly close of the ennemi falling down.)

Now for the so hated HS :P. Imo, it is one of the best move you can do after a knockdown. BUT you have to expect the ennemi to try to punish it, or avoid it. To avoid this, you have to time your head stump to land AS SOON AS THE ENNEMI GETS UP. He will be stuck into a block string and then u’ll be able to jump back from where you are from, or SD into: c.lp c.lk xx lk sk. (nice 5 hits combo imo).

Alos, if the opponent tries to punish with a DP or anything, he will gets hit by the HS. You will have priority due to the fact that his on wake up animation. the only way for him to avoid the hit is to block standing. (You’ll see that most ppl will get caught… again ppl are stressed online :D)

You guys should try this combo online too:

s. lp x 2 , c. lk xx lk SK.

It is surprising how ppl like to block standing when you hit them with standing moves, so if in the situation the ennemi blocks the s. lpx2, they will probably gets hit by the c.lk. (Remember, try to not hit more than 2 s. lp or the c.lk will propably whiff.) Comboing standing is fun imo :stuck_out_tongue: looks hellway more dangerous! (Ppl will see that you can combo without problem and they will probably impressed)

I had a question during all the time i read the 10 pages of this thread… and now that i’m at the point of typing it… i can’t remember it… QQ I guess i’ll edit later if i remember.

ChennehCis, Awesome thread. Keep playing Bison, even if sometimes your moral gets down. And guys never forget that:

BISON’S PSYCHO POWER KNOWS NO LIMITS!! MOUHAHAHA

Ps: Sorry if there is weird english mistakes :stuck_out_tongue: montreal frenchy here !

True. Throwing a st. Mk out is good if you’re slightly out of range for another SK or cr.lk xx SK.

Also, thanks to SFIV’s lenient mechanics, you can walk forward slightly, hit lk, and still have an SK come out (if charged). This fools some players who assume you’re done cutting them up with scissors.

Mix up your corner pressure with SK, cr.lk xx SK, cr.mp xx SK, walk up throw, and “walk up SK”.

Still good to know, though. An option is still an option!

On a somewhat similar note, I did not know that regular Blanka Ball goes THROUGH Bison’s Ultra. W T F. lol.
Also, apparently, rainbow ball beats Ultra clean. siiiiiigh
Both ultras were done on reaction to counter both balls. I lost out both times.

And, wow,
It never occured to me to do c.lk into c.jab. Hm. hahaha

Yea the timing for c.lk into c.lp is different than c.lp into c.lk… i still need to practice to be able to do it consistently.

Yeah I don’t abuse it but in certain situations like when I have a huge lead , want to use some clock without being in an advantageous position. I neutral jump from far so I don’t get splashed then hold back. If he throws it when I am in the air neutral mk hits if he gets me on the floor I block. It also beats cammys canon spike that antiair kick she has if you space it correctly.I tested it in g1 I spaced myself just outside the move range after I knocked cammy down.I neutral jumped she canon spiked and I hit her with it.I don’t recommend it because she has other options if she catches you right before you come down but nice to know it’s there and has ton of priority. It’s an old school tactic I used to do it in st. vs Honda with certain chars.

Wait a minute, no fucking way. It can’t be, you must have just Ultra’d to early… right? Off to training mode.

Umm, after the invincibility frames, you’re free to get hit by ANYTHING. lol I think only the active hitbox is invulnerable, not the entire character. But either way, it’s just a split second of invulnerability.

And on the Blanka Ultra bit, I’m not sure where is Blanka’s non-active hitbox are if he’s holding the P down to stay in one spot, I think if you go head on with the Ultras, you’re going to get hit because the invulnerable hitbox will swing past but the rest of the body gets caught. You know what I mean?

Here’s what I mean, http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/9202/possiblehitboxes.gif

downs beer in honour of that pic

Yeah, the pic is unintentionally and awesomely hilarious. Dictator rockin the beer gut.

lol Sorry, my tablet isn’t connected. I could’ve done better but I was stuck with a mouse. :stuck_out_tongue:

I understand that concept, but the way that insert put it I thought he meant that a Rainbow ball will beat Ultra every time.

 on the pic.

You want a “WTF No way” situation?

Try to ultra zangief out of an EX bear grab, then go cry in the corner.

We don’t know when rainbow ball comes out and when the Ultra comes out. Like I said, the invincible frames don’t last forever and I am not familiar with how the rainbow ball tracks for EX or whatever.
