yea that chun was pretty easy…i use c.LP to c.MP as a ghetto frametrap, it catches people more than you would think. Those jumps were stupid, I definitely realized that, I guess I thought he would quickstand…I do have a nasty habit of burning meter like a champ…need to stop that

Grade ‘B’ Rose Commentary
Perhaps now you guys can show me why I can’t even reach 5500BP.
I’m doing the best I can out there but I can’t get the win streaks. More llikely I’ll get lose streaks. My win rate with Rose dropped from 72% to 68% since I made Grade B. ITs very upsetting. Anyway, here are some of the best wins I had against equally skilled opponents.

first, don’t show us your wins. show us your losses.
second, from that video you linked i can tell few things only : you can hold your ground against some offense happy opponents, but that’s about it. you’re keeping rose as she was in vanilla : scary with her ultra1, rushable without. she was about middle-low tier at that time. you need to make the transition to super : rose is u2 dependant and a rush-down character. work on her wake-up game (though i can’t really tell because the offense happy kind of people you showed on your video usually don’t understand the risk of reversals), you haven’t showed anything of it except slides->random.

-no punish on a baited dp? c.mp>drill should be a muscle memory punish if you don’t have enough time to get into c.hp range.
-anti-air j.mk is a perfect AA to dash forward and get them into an ambiguous crossup, you backdashed D:
-dropping combos? If jabs are connecting you need to make them count with c.lk, c.mp xx drill
-EX drills are really punishable on block vs people who know what they’re doing…also a bad habit to throw them out randomly from mid-screen. Just do random hk drills instead if you’re gonna do them at all. Completely safe from the right distance and puts random mid-screen focus attacks in check.
You’re pretty good but your game is pretty spastic. I think you need to work on being your blockstrings mainly…you NEED to have the c.lp,c.lk,c.mp xx drill combo down. Your “go-to” attack was slide, which you’d do from any distance, but it should be a c.lp or c.lk hit confirmed into a special on hit, and on block you can grab, slide, do frame traps, whatever.

Commentator mentioned me not blocking his overhead. Noob observation, I didn’t even know Elf had an overhead. I only play one good Elf, and he never uses the overhead on me. =/ The more you know, I guess.
Could’ve done a lot better. Something about having my very first match during my very first major tournament on the main screen in front of over 2000 people along with a 15,000-spectator stream kinda threw me off. Slightly.

I like your Rose. you’re a pretty smart player. I think by nature your game sense will improve for every match. Your reflect game needs work though lol. A method I’ve adopted is to press either s.MP or c.MP in between possible reflects to help me gauge my timing and as something to “chew on” before doing reflect when I’m supposed to. I find that I used to be so bad at reflect just because I anticipated it too much that I wasn’t even paying attention to the oncoming fireball. pressing s.MP/c.MP before reflect helps soothe the anxious beast in me.
One specific thing I will say, is the 3rd round of that Guile match, when you crossed over him and he whiffed flash kick, you should’ve tried punishing with spiral xx super instead of a sweep followed by burning EX meter on sparks. I’m glad you at least try saving up for super though, just in case.
