So I have decided as well as other people in the community we need more tournaments. we need more action, we need more goals we need more experience.
i just got off the phone with Mark(hellsap) when psu opens up the doors again (dec 28th?) he plans to rent out a room so we can host a tournament. but really what i want to know is would you guys like to have it 2 days or 1 and what day/weekend/month would be best for the scene. open invite ofcourse.
I dont really care if its 1 day or 2. It all depends on how many games are being plyed and how many people are in each one. But if it being 1 day tourny means that i have to get up at the butt crack of dawn then i’d prefer a 2 day.
I cant speak for anyone but myself but any day/month is fine as long as there is enough advance notice to get that day off from work.
1 or 2 doesn’t matter to me, but I guess I prefer one since I work on Sundays and you’d probably be doing Saturday/Sunday if it was two-day. I think depending on size you really only need one day. Heck, NWM was one day and worked pretty well, and it was WAY behind schedule on things and had 120+ people in SF4 I think.
Also, a one-day tourney allows peopel from up in Seattle to be crazy and do it in one day/night if we’re so inclined, rather than having to get a hotel room or something.
edit: slash is right after second thought. But it also depends on how big it is.
3s, HDR and SFIV!?!? Maybe some T6? One day is my vote and I would really like something on a Sunday if possible. Otherwise late Friday or Saturday like 8pm ish but I know thats unrealistic with more then one or two games going.
P.S. I know you lovez me longtime Mackinzie!.. SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!!
SO if we decide on 1 day it will be April 17th, if it’s two days ofcourse it’ll spill over to the 18th
but the main reason i was thinking of two days is because it’ll give us all a chance to get together hang out we don’t get enough of that in the NW and you guys driving for four hours then have to sit in a room with a bunch of dudes for however long to drive four more hours but that’s why i’m letting you guys decide the date ofcourse is dependent on if we can secure for it for those dates but that’s the day we’re hoping for.
OFCOURSE i want to have 3rd strike lol but the list that i’m shooting for is.
SF4
T6
?
?
?
?
any other games are up in the air really. but those are the games i expect to get the most turnout for and ofcourse i want 3rd strike too because it’s still a solid game.
well if there isnt 3s or HDR theres no reason for me to attend. If 3s isnt a solid game and wont be there then WTF is SFIV doing there. Might as well play EX3 and Capcom fighting evolution for all I care.
I would suggest that instead of having a set day of the week or weekend, I would try and plan the day around maybe other events in the Seattle area. This way you could:
