my kanji is a bit rusty, but I think you’re using “illegal” or incorrect characters in your password
So I recently just formatted my laptop due to BSOD issues. So once I performed a System Restore, I tried to put back all the necessary PSO2 files from my portable hard drive sans the files that go in the Program Files directory, reinstalled it and ran the .exe but no good so I might as well start all over. Will downloading from this link do?

Most American players are on the 2nd ship and hang out in the 20’s blocks. We are growing rapidly there as well. Expect an English patch for the game sometime soon. IT WILL BE THIRD PARTY! BE SURE TO RESEARCH IT SO YOU DON’T GET BANNED! And yes, you can still register. Good luck if you don’t know how to read Katakana or HIragana. However those are spelled.
im guessing error 249 means the servers are down?
Might mean something else. I am in game just fine. I’d google the error and see what comes up. Don’t know about the 200’s, I know 600’s are server/SEGA ID related.
what error number did you get?
my sega ID is in all lowercase letters but i keep getting a screen that i cant get past. something about network…?

Regardless of how you typed in your Sega ID, it has to be in all lowercase.
THIS JUST IN! yes, the servers went down. This is apparent because the ships aren’t green, yellow, or red in status. They are all greyed out.

like for example my sega id is “dddd”
i type “dddd” in the sega id field, and then my pass. no good

yeah that first part says network connection error. second paragraph says something like “could not connect to the server. wait a bit and try to connect again, and if you cannot connect contact support.” could be a bit off but that seems to be the gist of it, so yeah sounds like a problem on their side.

I’m on ship 2 and 9 if anybody needs any help. I’m pretty knowledgeable about the game, I’ll try to troubleshoot any future problems I see you guys have in this thread. Seems like everything now is solved or dated.
Played for about 30 minutes. I’m done.
Alright so I’ve been desperately trying to get this working since last night. I made a sega ID, “registered” for PSO2. Installed the game as well as a fairly lengthy patch. Now, when I try to launch the game (the big button in the top right I assume), I just get a few seconds of my mouse spinning, the launcher goes away, and then…nothing. No error message, just nothing. Any ideas?
Might have an anti-virus or firewall program preventing you from connecting.
If you’re on Windows 7, try disabling Windows Defender and/or launching the game as administrator (right click and click “run as admin”)

I haven’t played since the second closed alpha. Do they let you respec because I think I missed quite a few awesome talents on my FOmarl.
I might hit this up I don’t know. Kind of hard to get motivated since my friends that played it are MIA.
I just tried uninstalling and re-installing (and repatching) the whole thing. Still wouldn’t launch. Then turned off windows defender and opened as administrator. Still wouldn’t launch…The odd thing is, I went into my task manager, and discovered that each time I try/fail to launch it, it does open and run “pso2 (32bit)” on my computer. At one point I had 7 instances running because I didn’t realize it was doing this (and it was using up essentially 100% of my cpu). I…am completely stumped here
Oh and I set my firewall to let it through as well
Not yet. Skill resets are an AC thing and you cannot buy AC yet.
