PSN SF4 Ranking Battle Tournament 6/12/09 1st- #1

Over the course of the year i noticed a lot more ppl wanting to get better in sf4 for many reasons. So in order to help level up players and help them get used to a “tournament” like feel, ill be hosting these ranking battles in order to see who the best players are over the course of the season…as the highest level players becomes noticed more and more players will want a piece of the best and these ranking battles will show that. But remember ppl this is all for fun and nothing to get serious over.

If these ranking battles go smoothly and with high turnouts i will be more than happy to host SBO (3v3/2v2) style team tournaments or Cooperation Cup (5v5) style tournaments

You help yourselves when you start respecting each other. If i am notified of a rage quitter or any player that begins to send hate msg’s to an opposing player…they will not be allowed to play throughout the duration of the season or in any of my tournaments

its as simple as that. HOWEVER if it is a LEGIT DC because of connection then i will need to be notified by BOTH players of the DC and i will rule the match to be re-played

How to REGISTER: You will NEED Mirc in order to register

NOTE- I WILL NOT BE TAKING REGISTRATION HERE, ONLY ON MIRC (if you dont have it, GET IT)

During registration time you MSG me with your character of choice…once the brackets are distributed you can NOT register

**Rules:

Singles

  1. If you leave for a short time, LET ME KNOW, or else i will DQ (i wont hesitate to do so)

  2. If you leave after you register and you are not present for your match i will DQ you no questions asked

  3. If i am notified of a rage quitter or any player that begins to send hate msg’s to an opposing player…they will not be allowed to play throughout the duration of the season or in any of my tournaments

  4. a LEGIT DC because of connection will be RE-PLAYED. ONLY IF BOTH PLAYERS NOTFIY ME OF THE DC

  5. If a DC between 2 players continues or they cannot connect…ill flip a coin to determine the winner

  6. Players are ONLY ALLOWED ONE CHARACTER throughtout the duration of the tournament/ If i am notified of someone who changes there characters while playing they will forfeit the game

  7. MSG ME YOUR WINS ON MIRC/ Not PSN (i will not be reading messages through PSN throughout the tournament)

  8. Have fun and dont take this seriously/ Most players here want to get better so let them do so by not flipping out and screwing up the tournament

  9. Points will be awarded to the top placing players and will be results will be posted in the same thread (so for those who are wondering who to look for to get better, the players will be there)

  10. Top 4 placings will get the following amount of points

1st- 10 pts
2nd- 7 pts
3rd- 5 pts
4th- 3 pts

Team Specific Rules:

  1. (3v3/ 2v2) 2 or 3 of the same character on a team is NOT allowed

  2. (3v3/ 2v2) ALL TEAMS ARE RANDOM (dont show up just cuz you dont have a partner)

  3. (3v3/ 2v2) ALL GAMES ARE SBO STYLE (1 GAME)

  4. (3v3/ 2v2) A team advances when all players on the opposing team lose

If there is over a certain amount of ppl who enter i will change it to a team tournament depending on the amount of ppl entered

after i announce the brackets NO MORE registration will be taken

If the turnout is well and the tournament runs smoothly this will be done on a consistent basis

Yes it will be double elimination

Standard format for tournaments unless I posted otherwise

REMEMBER only ONE character throughout the entire tournament

And you MUST register through the channel

random teams is definitely a great idea when it comes to variation and different forms of competition, this should be fun and everyone should record their matches for all to enjoy!
