Psn connection error

Hey all. Has anyone had this “player update has failed” message? And also an error where you get a connection error on the character select screen and it crashes you to the main menu? Until a few days ago I have had zero connection problems with this game and then all at once I can’t even get past the character select screen without a connection error. Internet works fine on my computer and i can connect to the psn network but I just error out on the character select screen every time now…

Tried deleting my umvc3 save, reformatted my ps3, got a new cable modem, tried connecting straight to the modem and wireless. I still get the same error over and over now. Google searched and I found that some people had this problem last year but it just fixed itself so they said. Anyone have any suggestions…?

It says connection error when i try to join someone just in the past five minutes was just working fine. Ive had something like this happen before and i just waited like 30 mins and it was fine after. just give it some time.

Wow… i have no clue, never heard of this happening for more than a few hours. o_O

Try deleting the game data and then reinstall… Did you try using a different psn account?

Yeah I’ve deleted and reinstalled the game data multiple times and I just get connection errors when I try to set up a new account lol… weird thing is the internet on my computer is perfect. I think my ps3 is just about to die cuz it has that yellow light that comes on when I turn on the system.

Wow… Well grab a new one now while the price is at $199 at GameStop and amazon
