thanks
What stick configuration to use? I see a switch that says LSB/RSB/LB/lRB and one that saysLB/RB/LSB/RSB ?
I keep it on LSB/RSB over LB/RB. This assigns the left and right bumper buttons to the larger face buttons and the left and right stick buttons (clicking in thumbsticks) to the two extra buttons in the upper left panel, with the back and turbo buttons (it’s also the default, labeled configuration). I don’t think clicking in thumbsticks are used too often in fighters or other games one might play on a stick, but it’s nice to have the option available to use them.
Yeah, they’re fairly useless for actual gameplay, but they’re extremely useful for training mode purposes. I play on a HORI Real Arcade Pro 2 SA and I would KILL to have the L3/LSB and R3/RSB available to me.
I picked up one of these today from Fry’s with price match to Gamestop.com. I love the button layout, spacing and large palm rest area…but the darn thing is too light. It moves entirely too much when playing with it in my lap or on top of my bed. It seems like the only stick I can use anywhere aside from on a table is the VLX; everything else moves around
Maybe the problem is you then. don’t smack the gate in every direction would help and it barely takes any pressure to activate Sanwa buttons I’m just saying
I can either be precise or fast, not both. And under pressure people (well me at least) tend to do motions “harder.”
If your hitting the gate then that’s too hard
lol i can just imagine him playing. Both hands on the stick. shoving the stick left and right and all you hear are thumps.
I’m a bit new to use a stick, and brand new to trying to mod my stick in any way. How would I go about rewiring PPP or LP to instead be the back (well, select since PS3) button (for AE blinking, as I main Ibuki)? I saw the picture in the thread on where the back/select is on there but I’m not sure how to go about rewiring it and can’t seem to find much about it?
Took mine back to Fry’s. Hopefully the new Fighting Edge stick will be better.
Then again, considering Sako’s an execution god, it will probably be worse for me…
ill have my hori sc5 stick on wednesday
mean time i was thinking about switching for a octagonal restrictor.
has a hori v3 a month ago and was not liking the 4 way, maybe 8 way is more comfortable for me
will the sanwa gt y octagonal restrictor be compatible?
also is hard to switch them out?
The jlf is not stock four way if it was you would not be able to do diagonals its not a pac man joystick just letting you know. yes the jlf can accept both plates and its super easy to change it just naps into place
i meant 4 way as square restrict
For the last time, that’s not 4-way… it has four sides, that doesn’t make it 4-way.
for the last time 4 way as in 4 corners in square restrict
now stop being hard headed
He’s not being hard headed.
He’s using the proper terminology.
If you walked into an auto workshop and started making up your own terms that contradicted the established (and logical) terminology do you expect them to know what the fuck you’re talking about?
4 ways / 4 corners
i just started to get into arcade sticks, so excuse me if im using the wrong terminology.
getting attacked for little things, all im tryin to do is get point across
plus if i do walk into a arcade stick shop, the professionals will have an idea of what im talking about.
just like if you walked into a auto shop and describe your car problem they will know, without you telling them which and what name of the car part is causing problem.
Dumb question but is the ball top supposed to rotate freely?
If you mean you can unscrew the balltop too easily then you can tighten it up yourself by opening up the arcade stick and using a flat head screwdriver on the base of the joystick shaft.
If you mean ‘is the joystick shaft supposed to rotate’, then yes.
