the big question with this security update 3.55:
will the jb downgrading work on 3.55 too?
until we know the answer, it’s best to stay away from this update imo.

Jailbreaking/Downgrading DOES NOT work on 3.55 yet. However, the hacking community seems active and a new method for jailbreaking may emerge in the coming weeks. If you’re the type who likes to jailbreak your PS3 console then it’s highly recommended that you DON’T update the firmware.
