PS3 SF4 owners PLEASE READ THIS! (NAT settings in post 21)

:wonder: Also, if you haven’t done it already, take the time to forward the ports on your PS3 so you can have a more stable connection online. The ports you need are:
TCP: 80, 443, 5223, 10070-10080
UDP: 3478, 3479, 3658, 10070
If you need a guide on doing it, here’s a simple one:

DMZ that bay-bee too. Have at you… dood!

OOOOOO!

Nice one! Id rep if I could.

nice, thanks dood i was wondering if i need to forward ports.

First thing I did when I booted up the game also.

About 90% of the random people I play online haven’t installed it and it drives me nuts. I was playing a friend who didn’t and after the first game I said install it and we’re not playing until you do. He installed and good times were then had.

I understand mandatory installs are annoying on the PS3, but I wish this was one of them. It improves the game for everyone.

Yeah, DMZing your system is the best. It’s really easy if you do that you don’t have to mess with port forwarding for your console.

I’m surprised how many Sony owners don’t know about installs – all of the few games I’ve played have an install option.

freaking love the install feature. Big deal i lose a few gigs but gain so much more time. Big strain of badluck though on my part on getting people that didn’t install the game on their HD on netplay.

First thing I did when I placed the disk in!

The install takes around 15 minutes, so go do something else while it’s happening.

Installation is mandatory and something I always tend to do for my favorite Playstation 3 games. Only if there is a SSD mode within the PS3 OS or I would spend money on a SSD drive for fighting games. Or maybe that would be overkill.

Anywho, it stinks that the SFIV op is not in the Collector’s Edition soundtrack :frowning:

Thread is now sticky. I’m going to take down some of the other stickies.

i was honestly thinking of returning the game and getting it for 360 when i saw how bad the loading times were… and then it occurred to me to install it. whoops.

installing it is thee 1st thing to do, takes a hell of a long as time but its worth it

Yes, please install if you can. I makes the online experience A LOT better.

u can take out the mgo sticky since most of srk stopped playing

Anyone can answer this… but whats it mean to forward your port? Ive never heard of that before… DMZ?

From the way I understand it is that port forwarding tells your router to automatically send specific data directly to your PS3, rather than delay in checking which device on your network to send the data to. Every little delay can affect how much lag you both see in a game.

This man knows what he’s talkin about. I port forwarded my ps3 a couple weeks after buying it, shit is smooth like butter even with a wireless connection.

Please install though, Its annoying waiting like 30 seconds to play…

With that said, hit me up online…Yea that’s right i’m sponsoring myself bitches, HOLLAAA:rock:

yes install your sf4 now!!! and set your DMZ host on your router to the ps3 for better internet play!!! DAMN people get it with the times NOW LOL

ahhhhhhh… makes sense now, sry larry lol

word i totatlly agree i hate waitin for the other person to load

The install cuts the loading time by about 11 seconds. Before the install its arround 16 and after arround 5. There is nothing more annoying then people who havent installed the game :stuck_out_tongue:
