When I switch the video for the ps3 it has some buzzing noise and when I turn the ps3 on the picture is messed up. It has some messed up lines moving up and down the screen. It never happened before.
Someone said something that was helpful but he didn’t say enough.
Why would a 2 prong one be better? I had the PS3 plugged into a power strip (is this bad?) along with my 360 (which also broke down with red lights recently). I hope it’s just a cord problem and not something to do with the PS3 itself.
Switched it to another power strip from another outlet and the lines disappeared but it still has some small flickering lines. What’s the problem exactly and why has it never happened before?
Probably has to do with the wattage for the surge protector you are using. When you have a lot of electronics hooked up to a single strip and they all need a lot of juice they tend not to perform as well with lower wattage strips.
