This doesn’t really have anything to do with Street Fighter, per se, but in a sense, it kinda does. Details have come out about the upcoming 3.0 firmware for the PS3, and in my opinion, there is 1 feature on there that I really like, and that is the ability to give players reputations. For example, lets say you are playing SF online, and you run into someone like HalfroHalfamazin, and you guys have a good game. You give him some street cred, so that future players know he is a good guy to play against.
Vice Versa, you run into a known bitch ass ragequitter like Padilla78744, so you make sure that every time you play that punk ass, you give him negative props, just so everyone else can see he is a pussy bitch.
yeah that is a pretty cool function. Only thing is, what if you run into alot of chumps and less cool kids (very possible), through the crappy people you could get tons of negative but still be cool. Do the negs go away after awhile or msgs, whatever? (article didnt specify)
Then you have the haters that give neg rep just because they got owned or whatnot. Fun to an extent but there are so many idiots out there that will abuse the feature just to be dicks.
This feature is making it like the 360 then… and we all know how well that works on XBL, lol. You get bad ratings just for playing and beating someone in CoD or some crap like that.
Just curious, maybe someone can help me out here… The “Rep-Groove” thing on the forum, when I hover over mine, it says I have -129 points. And then it says that my reputation on my 1st post of this thread is EXTREMELY NEGATIVE. What gives? Does everyone hate me or what?
