PS3 Error: 8002291A Registration of the trophy

I apologize for this thread, but I’ve tried googling the error and have had no luck finding a solution. And I only get it with Street Fighter X Tekken.

Every time I boot up Street Fighter X Tekken for the PS3, I get the following message:

“Registration of the trophy information could not be completed. The game will quit. (8002291A)”

The game then quits and I am taken back to the playstation dashboard. Have any other Street Fighter X Tekken players experienced this error? Is there a known solution? I have tried deleting my save information and game data. I’ve tried manually syncing my trophy data. I’ve even tried creating a new profile on my playstation and I still get the same error.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried deleting the game update and reinstalling it?

Even consoles recognize bad games…technology is upon us.

Yes, I have tried that. I honestly think there is just something wrong with my disc. I took it out and cleaned it, and put it back in, and I did not get the error. However, the game froze on the title screen. Then I rebooted it again and got the Registration of Trophy data error again.
