It definitely doesn’t need a wired pass through in order to work, it doesn’t work on the madcatz ps3 sticks and even though I’m still not sure if there is lag or not it definitely doesn’t have enough lag to discount it for use.
As long as I find a non-SIXAXIS/DS3 controller it will work with, there shouldn’t too much difficulty in making it work, if it doesn’t already, and I wouldn’t mind releasing a new MC firmware to cover it.
it works like a charm with vibration and analog sticks and all. no lag whatsoever but I have yet tried it with a ds3. and btw the shoulder buttons are switched around so l1=lb
I have the Pro converter that doesn’t require a wired 360 controller to bridge (purchased off Focalprice) and tested it out with an HRAP2SA and an HRAP3. It doesn’t seem to register my double taps all the time. I wonder if it is dropping inputs.
Seeing as it works with PS2 pads/sticks, does it work with the Yellow Namco or the PS2 version of the Saturn pad ? (I know its already been stated the PS3 USB version doesn’t work).
when you guys refer to needing a wireless pad, is that in addition to a wired stick? I’m thinking of getting the standard version for a hrap2, but I dont have a PS2, XBOX, or any controllers except my stick.
I don’t see why it wouldn’t. It works fine with the previous version of the converter. It sounds like you still need the 360 controller as a passthrough with PS2 sticks.
works great with all ps2 sticks with no need of a wired pad. PS3 however is another store, pretty much only have luck with dualshock and FS3 but fs3 laaaaaaaaaaags bad…
Same. I’m eager for Toodles to play around with it. Earlier in the thread it was said that it still required a wired controller for PS2. Now it does not. That in itself makes it pretty swell. I wish they would have tested it against the MadCatz PCBs before releasing it. There would be a lot more happy folk.
It doesn’t work with Madcatz “Fightstick” PS3 PCBs
It does work with Dual Shock 2, Dual Shock 3(via usb cable) and Nubytech 15th anniversary PS2 pad WITHOUT NEEDING A PASSTHROUGH both on 360 and for the PC
If it does lag is it definitely not noticable without a precise measurement so I’m waiting for toodles to help us out with that one.
I’ve been using it with my ps2 padhacked stick (the nubytech I keep referring to) at ranbats for weeks now. The only problems I seem to have is switching from playing the game on PS3 to 360. I complain just as much as the other PS3 players there and they have 360 TE sticks while I’m using this convertor. 360 players have played on my stick and not said a word about it being laggy at all (in fact they thought it was just a 360 SE)
