PS3 and PS2 to xBox360 Controller converter PRO

The pro one is the one I have. I got it off of ebay from some random hong kong seller. It didn’t even come with packaging.

New PS2/PS3 to XBox360 Controller Converter PRO - eBay (item 190394449958 end time Jun-20-10 13:08:44 PDT)

That’s the listing I bought from. I don’t know if they’re still selling them.

It doesn’t appear that too many of them are for sale anymore(on ebay), I wonder if it was even made legally.

Either way, this looks like the one I have. All the way down to the white QA sticker on the side.

It definitely doesn’t need a wired pass through in order to work, it doesn’t work on the madcatz ps3 sticks and even though I’m still not sure if there is lag or not it definitely doesn’t have enough lag to discount it for use.

I bought mine at FocalPrice.com

Appreciated. I just ordered the one from focalprice and sprung for EMS shipping, so hopefully I’ll have it in a week or so.

wondering if Hori’s would work? (FS3, RAP’s)

I can confirm that HRAP 3 works with the PRO.

Best of luck with your work work work. I’m sure people would be happy as hell to use this with a Cthulhu if you manage to get it going.

As long as I find a non-SIXAXIS/DS3 controller it will work with, there shouldn’t too much difficulty in making it work, if it doesn’t already, and I wouldn’t mind releasing a new MC firmware to cover it.

I just may have to hunt down an HRAP 3.

it works like a charm with vibration and analog sticks and all. no lag whatsoever but I have yet tried it with a ds3. and btw the shoulder buttons are switched around so l1=lb

I just received the Pro [grey one pictured in Noodlz post] and it works great with my PS3 Controller (using USB cable) without a wired 360 controller.

I have the Pro converter that doesn’t require a wired 360 controller to bridge (purchased off Focalprice) and tested it out with an HRAP2SA and an HRAP3. It doesn’t seem to register my double taps all the time. I wonder if it is dropping inputs.

Seeing as it works with PS2 pads/sticks, does it work with the Yellow Namco or the PS2 version of the Saturn pad ? (I know its already been stated the PS3 USB version doesn’t work).

Same question here…would be sweet to use the Playstation namco stick on the xb360 without modding it…

when you guys refer to needing a wireless pad, is that in addition to a wired stick? I’m thinking of getting the standard version for a hrap2, but I dont have a PS2, XBOX, or any controllers except my stick.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t. It works fine with the previous version of the converter. It sounds like you still need the 360 controller as a passthrough with PS2 sticks.

I use my namco stick on it. It will most likely work on any PS1/PS2 input device you can throw at it.

works great with all ps2 sticks with no need of a wired pad. PS3 however is another store, pretty much only have luck with dualshock and FS3 but fs3 laaaaaaaaaaags bad…

 @ all the mixed reports on these things. Every time I think I understand how it works, somebody throws a monkey wrench in the thing.

  • Does it or does it not require a wired 360 controller to work with ps2 devices?
  • Does it or does it not require a wired 360 controller to work with ps2 devices?
  • It looks like Madcatz sticks don’t work with it, as we have numerous reports to that end and one report that they do work
  • Saturn USB does not work.
  • HRAP3 appears to work.
  • All PS2 controllers tested to date appear to work.

Does that cover it?

Same. I’m eager for Toodles to play around with it. Earlier in the thread it was said that it still required a wired controller for PS2. Now it does not. That in itself makes it pretty swell. I wish they would have tested it against the MadCatz PCBs before releasing it. There would be a lot more happy folk.

I know I’ve said it a few times:

It doesn’t work with Madcatz “Fightstick” PS3 PCBs
It does work with Dual Shock 2, Dual Shock 3(via usb cable) and Nubytech 15th anniversary PS2 pad WITHOUT NEEDING A PASSTHROUGH both on 360 and for the PC

If it does lag is it definitely not noticable without a precise measurement so I’m waiting for toodles to help us out with that one.

I’ve been using it with my ps2 padhacked stick (the nubytech I keep referring to) at ranbats for weeks now. The only problems I seem to have is switching from playing the game on PS3 to 360. I complain just as much as the other PS3 players there and they have 360 TE sticks while I’m using this convertor. 360 players have played on my stick and not said a word about it being laggy at all (in fact they thought it was just a 360 SE)

it lags with the fs3? i wonder why… do you have any pics or vids or anything
