So glad I found a place to discuss this converter! I’m very frustrated. Here is my take on things…
I got the gray Converter Pro about a month ago specifcally for MK9. When it works, it works flawlessly. Zero lag. My playing improved tremendously online. However it seems to have a mind of it’s own and this is something I’m hoping anyone out there can confirm if its happening to them to, or maybe I have a defective unit.
For whatever reason and totally at random, I’ll be playing and suddenly the home screen will pop up as if I’ve pressed the Xbox button or in the PS2 controller’s case, the analog button. The thing is if I close it, it will pop back up over and over again. Imagine this happening while in the heat of a battle of MK. Needless to say, I have gotten so mad I have nearly crushed the thing. I have to frantically unplug the unit and plug it back in and hope it goes away. It will usually go away for a while but then pop back up at random. Sometimes I can play for hours without this happening. Other times, it happens so much I have to resort to using the Xbox controller. To troubleshoot, I’ve tried every combination of doing things in a certain, like plugging in the adapter before or after power of Xbox, etc., in order to try to stop this but so far it still seems totally random. I should mention I have used 3 different PS2 controllers, the newest one being a brand new one I bought just to be totally sure. Still the same issue.
Is this happening to anyone else? I would totally love this thing if it were not for this huge issue. Thanks for any input guys.
BTW, I bought mine from DSCartshop.com but I realize now they no longer carry the item.
I have been searching for this controller converter pro for the past few days, but doesn’t seem to find any place selling them at a reasonable price(around 25 USD with international shipping to India). Can someone please help me finding sites that still have one of these?
Does anyone know of a place that has this for sale at a reasonable price? (That being under $20.) Or perhaps someone would like to sell one? Only interested in the gray version that doesn’t require a 360 controller for syncing. Cheers.
The Dual Shock 3 is listed as one of the controllers that works well with it.
i took a chance and ordered a PS3 and PS2 to xBox360 Controller converter PRO from www.hictop.com everything went fine with the order until a couple of days after i paid i noticed my order got switched to this
the seller is obviously trying to tell me that it’s the same converter as the converter pro that works without a wired xbox 360 pad. but looking at the same converter on other websites states otherwise…
it hasn’t got here yet, but if anyone has this particular converter does it in fact work without a wired xbox 360 controller?
i think the model number is HYS-X3085. obviously i have opened a paypal dispute for the sheer fact he changed my order after i paid for it. i’ll let you guys know what happens with it. my plan unless i hear that this thing works is to refuse delivery and get my money back.
in the meantime, i ordered a couple of xtokki adapters from focalprice, hopefully that goes better…
I’m looking for the xtokki adapter everywhere and I’t sold out everywhere. I checked focalprice but I can’t find it. Any help? U got a link? or you want to sell me one of yours?
well my order still says unpaid (even though i paid for 2 etokki converters with paypal 2 minutes after ordering) and unshipped at focalprice.com -_- is wayne brady gonna have to open up another paypal dispute??? does anyone have any history with focalprice.com or better yet does anyone know where i can order an e-tokki or converter pro without getting the long fat dry end of the stick??
update october 11’th 2011
www.focalprice.com sent me a paypal refund per my request. will never know if they had the etokki converter in stock or not…:rolleyes:
still waiting on the changed after ordered www.hictop.com converters so i can refuse delivery and get my money back from them. >:(>:(>:(>:(>:(:lame:
next up to bat www.saraoutlet.com placed an order on september 14’th for 2 xtokki converters and 1 converter pro. anyone wanna say a small prayer for me that this order goes through and i actually get what i ordered??
and www.saraoutlet.com fails as well :wtf: after almost a month of waiting they are going to cancel my order and issue a refund (i hope). it turns out they didn’t have the xtokki or the converter pro in stock. a piece of good news is paypal judged in my favor vs. the rip off order changing artist known as www.hictop.com and i got the charge from them reversed!!!:woot:
ordered 2 xtokki’s from laugh today and i’m done with this…
Mine has been working, albeit somewhat spotty at times not wanting to recognize controllers, for about a year and a half. Recently it just stopped synching controllers up to the xbox though. The light is still on for the converter, so I’m not sure what’s going on. Once I plug in the PS3 controller and hit the home button, the lights never turn back on for the controller and I have to let them sit for 5 minutes or so before they’ll respond again.
anyone ever had this problem? Any idea on what I could do to fix it, since these are impossible to find now?
I bought the blaze pro adapter(which takes wired controller) and im getting like a 1 frame lag on the xbox. Im using a psx pcb. Can anyone suggest a converter and comment on the input delays.
Has anyone had any luck finding the Blazepro converter in stock anywhere online lately?. All the places listed in this thread are out of stock, and the same comes up on other sites through Google searches.
I have the x360 converter pro(needs wired controller) and a etokki converter(doesn’t need controller). I gonna sell them cause they lag with my p360 so I’m going to dual mod my stick.
BUMP. Im looking to buy a controller converter pro, anyone know a good, reliable place to purchase one? (At a reasonable price ofc). I noticed a lot of them floating around during Shadowloo Showdown, Airtola was using one as well
Don’t trust the acceport one. The pictured item is what we want, but the title, description, and price do not match it. They’ll send a converter that looks nothing like it. The converter they send only does ps2 to 360, like the description says.
The first link could be legit though. The description and picture are correct, and price is about right too. The only thing that could be misleading is “PS2-PS2” in the title. I don’t know anything about the seller though. Thanks for posting this. I may give this one a shot.
I’ve been hunting the Controller Converter Pro for 10 months on and off, going through 5 or 6 different sellers, waiting close to a month for each, only to have to get a refund each time because it either wasn’t in stock, I was given the wrong item, or it just never arrived despite the sellers’ claims that the item was sent. I never would’ve expected such a simple item to be so difficult to obtain, especially since it was apparently much easier to find a month or 2 prior to my learning the converter existed.
