PROVENANCE 2: Round1 Fighting Game Series - SFV

The highly requested Provenance: Round1 Fighting Game Series is back at Round1 San Jose on August 21st 2016.

Our first event at Round1 San Jose proved to be quite a task as we pushed the player envelope in a new environment on new equipment and using new software. As our team clutched our way through the night and as the event came to a close we had only 1 question for ourselves. “How do we improve the experience from here on out?” After months of talks, negotiations, analyzing the venue, experience with new equipment & new software we now feel the time is right to meet your requests.

This time around and from now on we will be hosting 1 game per event due to venue space and to start things off fresh that game will be no other than Street Fighter V. Bring your fightsticks and friends as we once again show Round1 San Jose what the NorCal FGC is all about!

[ ROUND1 RULES ]

All Standard Round1 Rules apply
No outside food allowed in the venue.
No food or drinks allowed in the lounge area during the event. Bottled Water will be the only exception. Eat & drink your food outside of this area during the entire duration of this event.
Personal Hygiene Rule strictly enforced. If your body odor is considered to be a distraction to others you will be asked to leave the venue to take care of it. Round1 has strict rules regarding this and we completely agree with these rules for our events.

[ SINGLES TOURNAMENT RULES ]

Legacy Controller function & bluetooth controllers are banned. Wireless controllers must use USB dongle to be legal.
You may not register or enter anyone other than yourself unless you pay in advance. No IOUs will be accepted either.
Double elimination bracket
2/3 wins each match advances you into the bracket
3/5 Winners Final, Loses Final & Grand Final to advance
Default game settings will be used (time, rounds, etc.)
Kanzuki Beach Stage is banned.
Blind Character Pick enforced by request. (only judges may enforce this)

[ 3v3 TEAM TOURNAMENT RULES ]

Only 1 team member is required to register the entire team. You may not register another team other than your team unless you pay in advance. No IOUs will be accepted either.
Single Elimination bracket
Single Set
Poke’mon Format (winning team member stays on until defeated, losing team chooses the next member to play)
Character lock for the entire tournament
No duplicate characters on a team
Default game settings will be used (time, rounds, etc.)
Kanzuki Beach Stage is banned.
1st game in a match Blind Player Pick enforced by request. (only judges may enforce this)
