I’ve been paying attention to your sticks for a while, VOLTECH. If you become available one day/month/year after I’m all caught up on some other builders making me some sticks (Byrdo is making my next one), I would love to share a design with you. Maybe in the future I can get on your list. I like wood a lot and tend to veer towards that but I’ve always wondered how steel would feel and I think you make the best in that material. The current project I’m waiting for is in a NICE piece of 3,500 Janka rated Brazillian Teak. A lovely Cumaru. I’m excited about it as a collector. Have a great day.

I’m thinking about getting a Voltech, but I’m quite low on money now. I’ll probably join Round 5 - love these sticks! Are there any problems with the metal top (especially bending)? Keep up the great work!

Jesse, I’m thinking of becoming a man and getting one of your cases. I remember you wanted to streamline the VAS-TE when I last talked to you. Will the VAS-TE include a top control panel or are we expected to use the TE metal control panel? How about plexi? I assume it’s through Art (tek innovations). Let me know as it seems like some of this stuff was posted as far back as February on your blog.

Sounds like a fun project cant wait to see it! If you’re interested in getting in on round 5 I’m taking deposits now. 100 down gets you on the list and I’m capping it off at 5 so let me know if you want in.

Nope there is no problems with the metal bending it is well supported by the PVC frame. I’t a very sturdy build just ask anyone that’s played on a VAS-HG
I build these sticks to be played on because I am a player myself and I don’t go easy on them. That’s why I use materials like Steel, PVC, Carbon Fiber and Powdercoat because their tough and can take a beating.

If you want in it’s $100 down just visit my Blog Sales page and choose the model you want.

Hmm. Yes. I would love to have a VOLTECH stick to add into my collection. I am familiar with your work. So if you’re talking about going into round 5, I can definitely do that. I can put $125.00 down today if you like. I will inform you, however. I am disabled and have detailed tastes. But from what I’ve seen from you, I don’t think you will have much trouble. A bit challenging, perhaps. I know exactly what I want and artwork would probably be the most difficult side of it. If your down with that, game on.

Shoot me an email with the details and I’ll let you know what and how we can work it out. voltecharcadesticks@gmail.com

In progress.

New build in progress http://voltecharcadesticks.blogspot.com/

I’m so loving the new designs… =]

I can’t believe I’m still doing this but here I am =D

I’ve decided to start posting more pics of the build process so people can keep tabs on their orders and also keep me motivated.

So here’s a coupe of pics of the next batch of sticks I got cooking up (I should have some extra VAS-T.E and VAS-HG available soon)

Laser Cut Shells
Top left VAS-T.E. (Fits the T.E. panel and plexi)
Top Right VAS-HG (Fits the VSHG panel and plexi)
Bottom VAS-22 JDM (I still need to make the custom fit plexi)
Got the metal cutouts and fitted them to my plexi tops, Looks like a perfect fit!!!

As you can see the plexi fits nice and tight.
I’m using blank plexi from Art’s Hobbies in it’s default sizes (T.E. and VSHG accordingly) I made these so that the panels would be interchangeable with the original sticks they are modeled after. So you could have BlackLightning build you a panel and Art cut you a replacement plexi but you will need to have matching sets so for this to work so I’m working to get them my templates but if you want a custom metal panel and lexan top I believe BL can do both as a matching set.

Next step is to get them bent and welded.

IAs oyu can see I’ve starting making a new VAS-22 wide model it measure 22" wide while maintaining the same height and length as the original.

I’m also working on a mini version that will be modeled after the Namco in size and featuring a similar slop design. So stay tuned for more updates as "I plan to keep this thread alive.

VAS-22 JDM needs Hello Kitty art.

Did some remixed Limited edition Art

Wow those look great dude! Really diggin Swamp’s with the bew artwork.

Lots of good stuff going down in my trading post, I figured I share with the Tech Talk peeps as well.

Here’s a slide show of the New Frame prototypes I’m working on.

So I’ll probably go with the tailor fit frames as my default since it seems to be the most popular design. If you want an Universal design just let me know otherwise the default will be tailor fit aka style #3

Also I can install the screw inserts into any case so that the plexi top can be opened from the top and of course, if you want it the original way with screw posts I can do that too.

Wired up my prototype and did some play testing for good measure. The case is very solid and feels just a tad bit heavier, weighing in at 6.2lbs.

I used the wiring harness from my other stick so it fit’s a little tighter than it would be if I had done a custom job but it still worked out really well. I can see where I could clean it up a bit but structurally it’s a success =D
