Project - VOLTECH Arcade Sticks

**ice_berg_slim ** Good find it’s been fixed

dreamstate83 Oh man I didn’t even think about that I’ll fix it. Hope nobody got offended
Edit: fixed

I’ve been getting some really good ideas over on the trading post so I made a mock up for a Panel mount USB port. I have a few on the way and will see how it works out but this is what I’m thinking.

Thanks to mekawendie and ShonuffJonez
Let me know what you think

Don’t know if you are still planning the dual wireless mods, if you are, don’t forget the extra button needed for Xbox 360 wireless sync. Maybe place it somewhere on the bottom plate? Just a reminder…

Perfect!

Maybe this 360 wireless sync button could work lol

Man, wait until you see what I do with this box, Voltech. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised/amazed/amused.

Not sure if you want to dedicate a 24 mm button for sync. I was thinking about something small like:

or

http://akihabarashop.jp/developments/index.php?cPath=459&osCsid=f157774f90fffac6b93e67fd89a46701

but maybe using standard parts is easier for end users.

Voltech that looks great i would love for it to be like that. And the sink button for 360 wireless you dont need it. TO sink the controller just attach the cord like your charging and whatever slot is available it will pick it up. THe 360 notices the controller as if it was a wired controller picking the first available spot usually the first slot #1. When you load 360 plug in the cord to the 360 let it pick it up the controler and then take the cord out. Remember to let the 360 load to the dashboard before disconnecting. When a wireless controller is attached to a wire when booting the 360 it first picks up to charge then cycles again when it hits the dashoard syncing the controller. Just leaves out a extra hole that you wont need. Now if anyone can figure out how to extend the headphone jack now thats golden. And wait peoples before you reply and just put the headphone extension im talking about the whole jack on the controller that attaches the regular 360 headsets or chat pad. Only reason is i use the chat pad alot and would like to have a extension of that piece thats soldered to the pcb board so i can attach it outside of the case instead of molding a box to fit it . Like a extension cable from underneath the stick. :bgrin:.

What does all that word spew have to do with this specific DIY case? Just desolder the connector from the board and run wires (an old Ethernet cable would be good) to it through a hole in the bottom.

Pretty pretty cases! Try and stay focused, folks! :stuck_out_tongue:

So here’s what I may go with since it’s the most versatile. Extra button can be used as a Sync button or a dedicated Dual switch mode button ie Toodles new Imp or just as a hole to mount what ever you want even a headphone jack or just a button plug ;).

I’ll save the headphone jack mod for the pros and since I use wireless I didn’t think about it sorry maybe next time.

Jack not included just the hole

Looks very official. Nice work.

Mos def nice work.

Hey Voltech, if you start making them to order, I got a buddy who wants a wooden case for me to wire some padhacking into. He just might be interested if the pricing is fair enough. Let me know bud =]

Very cool to see your product evolve. Great stuff!

good stuff Voltech.

I’m pleasantly surprised eveytime I revisit this thread.

usb mount is a great idea.

keep it up!

New pics of my progress on the front page

damn, i wish you could sell me one of these, like right now heh.

great case man, probably my favorite case i’ve seen on here.

i doubt it but figured i’d ask, would you be willing to make the architectural plans public?

Amazing work man, i am so glad i got onto the list when you first posted!!! So excited now!

Nice update! Is three different cases mean that you selling three different kinds of cases (4 hole with NAUSB, 3 holes w/ cable slot, and unfinished case)?

Well the first batch didn’t get the NAUSB hole, they just got a cable slot (mostly because I didn’t know about it then). The current or next batch all have the 4 hole pattern. The NAUSB isn’t included just the hole to mount it. I may make some cases without the hole and just the slot for people that don’t want to deal with it.
