have you ever soldered a surface mount parts before? Even if you know what you’re doing, I think the money you’d save from doing it yourself wouldn’t out weight the time spent.
unless you know how to do the oven method.

I don’t think I would want to solder all that surface mount stuff. :shake:
Will you be doing it yourself for us, or is a machine doing it?
i will be doing it myself for you.
Received an email yesterday that the boards are being manufactured. They will be complete in 8 working days. Don’t know how long it will take for shipping afterward. I also ordered more components so I’ll be able to use up all the boards.
I will have plenty of boards, but please pm me so that when I do receive the boards, I can contact you asap for shipping and payment details.
Hey Gummowned,
any news about your pcb yet? Nice to hear that you’re working with SMD. Faster to soldier than the through hole types. But however, about 50 parts takes time.
Looking forward to see some pics.
Just got email yesterday telling me that the boards were finished and are shipped. I should receive them in 1-2 weeks
Tracking says that the package has left Jamaica, NY yesterday. I should receive the boards in a day or two.
When I return home from NEC this weekend, I’m going to do another t6 dual wireless mod using the new boards. I’ll make a little guide and then I’ll start selling the boards.
That should prove interesting. I’m anxious to see how this would work with a padhacked 360 pad
I have a feeling I’m going to have to make a few different guides for the different 360 controller boards people will want to use this with.
Might be a super pain, but could be a nice idea. I’ve got the initial plan for a dual mod for a buddy of mine. The PS3 side being wireless is a necessity; the 360 side I could care less if he has a 15 foot cable or not…
Am i on a list of pre-orders? I cant wait for these!!
you are now
Can I be on that preorder list to?
hey Gumm, you got me on that list? I want three of those things!
I am reading about a List?
you already were.
and you too.
For some reason I seemed to have not ordered enough transistors to complete all the boards I ordered. A couple weeks ago I started to make a pre-order list so those people who were interested would be given first dibs.
I already placed an order for more component (around the same time I placed the order to get the pcb’s made), but the company I’m dealing with isn’t quite known for quick delivery. Being that they are an Australian company, that explains the long shipping times. However, their cheaper prices is why I ordered from them.
was the final cost decided for the boards yet?
$25 for a Leo board + $5 shipping.
$25 for a sixaxis board (and battery) + $5 shipping.
for the first bit of boards I’ll be able to make, if you order a leo board and sixaxis board, I’ll do free shipping.
Aahhh can’t wait to get home after work today. I checked tracking and its at my house.
I’m still on that list, right?
