So tomorrow my hrap goes under the knife tomorrow. Any advice for cutting a hole for a surface mount db25?

Very general advice here:

  1. Use a template.
  2. If you can, practice on another piece of scrap plastic as many times as you need to get comfortable.
  3. Go slowly and only remove material a little bit at a time; you can always go back to remove more plastic, but it wouldn’t be possible to add material back on if you’ve cut away too much.

Put some masking tape on the spot you wan to cut/drill with guides lines on it.

I learned to under cut the hole, then take my time with a file.

I had actually under cut it and filed it the rest of the way this time, that works real well.
