professionals?

just wondering if anyone else out there is a writer-for-hire. me, i’ve been freelancing on the side for arcade money (mostly at the Escapist Magazine, more recently at GiantRealm.com) until my blog on race and video games (http://tokenminorities.wordpress.com) hits the mainstream and makes me hella monies. right now, i’m trying to find writing work in the SF Bay Area.

anyone else?

I’m going to start looking for write-for-hire work for extra money. How are you generating revenue from your blog? I didn’t see any ads or anything.

i’m not, at the moment, mostly because i’m too lazy. if i wanted to run ads i’d have to take it off the wordpress.com servers and host it myself, which would cost money, and i doubt i’d be able to make it back in ads the way things are looking now. i’m just hoping one day someone will read it and think i’m a genius and give me a cushy job telling people to make games that don’t suck.

I’m not a freelancer, but I am a writer. I actually work for an animation and design company. (See my occupation for my extra roles.) The writing side of my job usually consists of writing scrips for animated movies/cartoons/anime, official stories/graphic novels (Which I usually have to help illustrate too, at times.), official guidebooks, product reports, other types of reports, articles (One of which I posted on here. [ Click here for article.] All hush-hush, of course. Naughty me. )… You name it.

I also write as a hobby when not writing for work. I was aiming to get my next novel published at the end of this year, but due to medical issues (Which have actually left me off work since 16th of June 2007.) it’s all on hold.
