So i bought the brook breakout board for PS4 a while back and just yesterday put it together cause i was waiting on other parts. Every time i tested it while wiring it there were no problems but i never tested it for long (just to see if one button worked then unplugged). After finishing everything i was trying it out and it worked perfectly for a while then it suddenly stopped responding. No movement and none of the buttons worked but weirdly enough when i unplugged it from my PS4, the game (Tekken 7) told me my fight stick was disconnected so when it stopped responding the PS4 still registers it as being in. I dont know what to do cause it randomly happens so it’ll worked for a couple minutes then stop responding for a few . Any help is greatly appreciated. Also returning to manufacturer is not really an option because i live in Trinidad(Caribbean) so we had to ship this part from away and cant really return it.
Have you tried updating the firmware? (i didn’t read anything related to updating the board in your description)
Oh i’m unfamiliar with doing something like that but ill look it up on how to do it and let you know.
You board might be a PS3/PS4 Fighting Board. (because of the breakout board?!!)
With that information, you can search for your update software here:
http://www.brookaccessory.com/download/PS4/
Then follow the instructions. You need both Home and Share button pressed when plugging it to a computer to proceed the firmware update.
Also you need to have an internet connection when using the application, as it always checks for newer firmware available.
Good Luck!
