OK i bought my DS today and tryed to play some games online but the shit never wentonline ever…
Do i need to be near some wireless net or something. how can i get it online?
You need to be within 30 feet of a wifi connection. Either use the “Dongle” nintendo sells, or have a wifi router.
You need to connect through that and get a friend code, or for some games just quick match, and take the code to a board and post it up asking for a player. Then take their code and put it in your friend roster so you can connect to them at any time that they are on.
You doint nee the wifi thingy to connect you can just have a wireless router. My bro put one up in my room behind my T.v. and I can play online outside my house and downstairs also, even down in the basement
I tryed that and it didn’t work. is there some sort of setting i need to have on my ds to play online?
no all u need is wireless connection and to config ur DS for the internet
i dont get that option when i turn my ds on. si there something im not doing or seeing?

If you already have a wireless router, you’ll need some settings from it, like the SSID and WEP key. Read your router manual to find out how to view these. If you don’t have a wireless router but DO have high speed, you can a) purchase a wireless router or b) purchase the USB Nintendo Wifi dongle thigamajig (EB carries them, as do several other places that probably have it cheaper).
Have you read through the DS Wifi manual AND your router manual thoroughly? If not, do that first, and come back to us with exactly what steps you’ve done and where you’re at.
