Apologise if this is in the wrong section.
I am currently having some serious issues getting a game online at the moment. I’m hoping some bright spark here can shed some light on it if possible.
I’ll try to keep it brief.
Apologies if all of this is known and i’m being
I have looked at the sticky’s. I have NAT2, and out of SF4 my connection is great.
I have trouble finding games.
My friend has the game on the 360 and his search results always come back with a screen full of players. The most I have EVER seen while searching for a game is 3 and even that is quite rare.
Lost championship Points
I can have the match completely finished. Sit searching for players for 10minutes and then when I finally find a player I select them only to have the dreaded message appear “Because you did not finish your last game you have lost points” etc.
This seems completely random. I have fought and defeated the same player 3 times in a row because it has pushed me back to the start again. (He found it hilarious )
Replays
Being able to watch replays seems completely random, some work others don’t.
Unable to connect with a player
More often that not my time spent searching for a player has me pressing on the same player time and time again but it telling me that It can’t connect. The players entry is often the only one available and it can be there for a long time.
Connection Quality
Most players i do see have no connection bar showing. Meaning i have no idea how good our connection will be until i click on them.
Thanks in advance guys… I’ve been putting up with this for a long time now and tonight after losing my points after completing a final was the last straw.
Blame Crapcom on this one. Microsoft has a standard protocol for all networked stuff that everyone must go by. This is good and bad. Good in that there’s uniformity in it and at least ensures some standards. Bad in the fact that companies can be hampered by it. Take burnout paradise for example which has a superior online experience on the PS3. But the bad part is that lazy companies like Capcom can churn bare minimum on PS3 and just go with that as long as its somewhat working.
Get used to your online experience being bad on sf4 for the ps3 its just the way it is atleast intill ssf4 hopefully. I only ever get a maximum of 3 players per search the best thing to do is just play arcade with the fight request on and you will get many many many more fights.
