To execute Akuma’s Upper Cut successfully - on the Old Joystick - I use the motion as described on the TOP Motions in the attached Picture
To execute Akuma’s Upper Cut successfully - on the New Joystick - I use the motion as described on the BOTTOM Motions in the attached Picture
As you can see - To do the Akuma’s Upper Cut on the Old Joystick is much much easier to do - as I do not have to worry about precisely stopping the joystick movement at the “Down” Position … I can reach all the way back to “Back + Down”
This motion will “Always Execute” Akuma’s Upper Cut successfully every time … on the Old Joystick
But this same motion will “Never Execute” Akuma’s Upper Cut at all … on the New Joystick
Instead I get a “Punch + Fire Ball” every time …
To successfully execute out Akuma’s Upper Cut on the New Joystick - I have to use the motions as described on the BOTTOM Picture …
This motion is much harder to do as I have to precisely stop the joystick accurately at the “Down” Motion …
What is Wrong with the New Joysticks, is any of the New Joystick’s Hardware at fault ?
Is there anyway for me to get the New Joystick to accept the Upper Cut Motion like in the TOP Picture ???
Which is the same Upper Cut Motion as for the Old Joystick …
@“Rogue Tardis” The movement that Maravilla told you has worked for Shoryukens for shotos for the longest time, including alpha 3. Maybe you just need to practice. You should be pressing forward, then kind of jerking the stick into downforward, and letting it come up to forward again. Sounds like you just need to practice the input but it works. Maybe check on youtube to see if anyone has any videos showing it.
