[PROBLEM] Venom arcade stick on PC (Windows 10)

Hi, i bought an used Venom arcade stick… It doesn’t work on my PC with Windows 10 pro 64bit. I’ve read that it should work on PC…

When i plug the stick the error says "USB device not recognized: The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it."
And in Device Manager says “Windows has stopped this device because it has reported poblems. (Code 43) A request for the USB device descriptor failed.”

I’ve tried evrything, differents ports and differents PCs… PS3 mode, PS4 mode etc etc. It’s my stick broke or something? Someone else have the same stick with windows 10?

Turned out that my stick was broken, fortunately i’ve managed to return it… i’ve bought a new one that works with no problem, thanks for the help.

Do you have access to a different pc to test it on? Or a ps3/4?

Tried on 2 different pcs and a laptop, same error. I can’t try on a ps3/ps4 :frowning:

  1. First uninstall the venom stick via device manager
  2. Put your stick into PS4 Mode, plug it in your PC, Device Manager > Scan for hardware changes > Test stick
    *If that Fails repeat Step 1. and put your stick into PS3 mode and try again.

Nothing changes, same error everytime.

Yea unless you try it on a ps3/4 hard to conclude if your pcb is bad, usb cable is bad or you just need the right driver.

In the worst case, you could swap out the pcb for a cheap PC encoder.

hmm i hope it’s just the USB cable that’s doing bad its job…

try replacing it (if you know some electronics… if now you might try to contact a local modder to do it for you and/or change the PCB to a Brook PCB or something that fits your needs.
