TV Torrents…google it. I heard its good but eztv has everything I need, plus an RSS feed.
Yeah I’m not saying eztv isn’t great, in fact most shows I download are from them, but since these are premium channel shows I don’t want to get some threatening e-mails like HBO did with Sopranos last season.

wow, that was a really well articulated article on Oink and the griminess of the RIAA + affiliates. i’ve been thinking for a while though, i mean currently, major record labels’ way of fighting back is to essentially make examples out of ppl who’re bucking the system. but in what way do we, the quintessentially oppressed, support our fellows who’ve been snatched up and had the book thrown at them, to ultimately scare us into conforming to their rules? how many people even know who the last casual user to have caught the wrath of the the record industry?
though i agree wholeheartedly with the intent, and feeling of the article, it’ll take some folks with serious clout to 1.) initiate and follow through the repeal process for some of these ludicrous intellectual property laws, and 2.) to implement them in the industry in a meaningful way. in a lot of ways, the music industry has become a metaphor for the american way of life, as it glorifies excess, targets the lower class, and personifies how the free market capitalism has tainted our system of representative democracy as market interests become legislation. it’s pretty depressing to think about (probably because i can see and sense the glaring flaws, but can’t come up with any meaningful solutions).
