I couldn’t find a good category to post this question but I figured IMM would be my best bet…
Anyway, I have a Mayflash arcade stick and I was thinking of putting a design on it.
My problem is, that I can’t seem to get all the holes to fit precisely, with the stick and buttons… I want my design to incorporate these aspects of the stick which is why i don’t want to just punch holes after the fact…
Are there layouts out there for mayflash sticks or is there a trick to getting those holes to line up with the stick? Or do I just have to continue with trial and error…
I figured that much out on my own, but my problem not getting the entire surface to fit but getting the holes for the buttons to line up with the buttons on the stick…
The image on the screen is to scale but isn’t actual size (even when it is “actual size”)
and it’s hard to place the holes on the correct places, correct size, etc…
Size is not so much of a problem since it’s the same for all buttons… It’s mainly position… I’m still working on it, and I’ll get them all eventually I was just wonering if there was an easier way to do this, or even better, if someone already has a template handy…
(I’m using GIMP, but I guess I can switch to photoshop if there is something there than can help with this process…)
edit: I just got an idea for how to do this… but i’m not sure if actually solves the problems I’m having but it’s worth a try. (taking a picture and fitting it onto the canvas, then tracing it)
If anyone else still has any other ideas I’d still appreciate them
No, you don’t understand…** the dimensions are correct** it’s just I couldn’t place the buttons and stick markings precise enough… but I have it very close now anyway, one or two more tweaks should do it.
Try asking in the Big Request Thread. They have size templates for your stick already. I’m not sure if they have all sticks but just mention what kind of stick you have and see if they can help you there.
