That’s probably because she remained the most grounded of all her 80s peers (even though her celebrity in many ways eclipsed theirs). Seriously, her celebrity persona was that of the whore of Babylon but in her personal life she worked hard, healthy lifestyle, never abused drugs, never went insane, and most importantly never isolated her self in giant mansions away from people. It really depresses me to think that we may have lost Prince because of some cuckoo religious belief he had about medicine/surgery. No, it hurts actually to know that someone you looked up to growing up and admired so much could potentially be so stupid. It’s like Whitney Houston, who had one of the greatest vocal chords ever, then decided ‘hey, you know what’s a good idea? Let me smoke crack cocaine’.
