As you can see, there wasn’t much increase between the 1930s till 1970s. From the 1970s onwards, the price of a comic book would raise to twice what it was was previously.
This increase went on till they now cost 3-4 dollars in today’s market.
Did this out of sheer boredom, but I do hope that the cost for comics may decrease…
On the one hand, comics today are made with much more sophisticated technology. On the other hand, as time goes by, the more sophisticated technology grows cheaper in comparison to the outmoded technology (how much would it cost now to run a print shop full of ladies switching plates in and out all day?).
