thx for the comments, tbh I probably wouldn’t have come up with the meterless ToD if not for this whole combo contest thing xD. To answer Metaskippers questions you can switch or add in the cell phone in this combo (before the first objection or after the second), but the vase scales damage better so it was just easier to do a ToD with the vase. This combo also builds a little more than 2.5 meters if you were curious. Also I really want to see what Andre came up with, I would like to see a version of this that doesn’t involve evidence if possible =)

btw I don’t think this combo is too impractical and is actually quite useful building 3 bars and all. I plan on incorporating it into my game at least so thanks for that =)

I dropped the combos like almost every time till I got it. I didn’t try other variations cause it was like 3am for me, haha

Basic combo thread. Some of these combos are already well-known, but still.
Well as much fun as that combo compilation was I can’t help but feel like there were missed opportunities here. Yeah I think everyone learned a thing or two including me, which is great but the combos that were put up were mostly flashy turnabout combos, and we all know that getting to turnabout is much harder than killing with it. I can understand there must have been over a hundred combos to dig through and Max wanted to give as much credit out as possible so he picked the best looking ones, but the only one that demonstrated PW’s ability to gather and get to turnabout mode was Lythero’s combo. No disrespect to Lythero but gathering evidence during a thc with dante is pretty much day 1 tech if I remember correctly. Only a few other players including myself demonstrated phoenix’s ability to gather evidence including andremastermex, and mrmewmew. I was surprised not to see one of mrmewmew’s submissions as well, I know the spencer tech is out there but its still not the most common of knowledge.
Anyway I’d like to see a compilation of methods to reach turnabout with lacking evidence, including assists, plinking, thc, tac, dhc, xf etc. I would be more than willing to help with this project but without a capture card recording all that successfully (gathering evidence combos are a true pain to record) sounds pretty insurmountable. That and I don’t have a youtube following like max and Lythero xD
Yeah the max vid was kinda disappointing, also @meta in the vid you posted, I like the combo where there’s a tac to Wright. And he whiffs an attack and goes for Maya smelting, pretty smart for a bridge to turn about combo.

I learned a lot of ways to spend 5 bars. Genuinely stunned that uglywhen’s solo combo to turnabout off a throw with no evidence wasn’t included. I guess you can’t really show what to do if you don’t get good evidence in that sorta combo vid. I wonder if I should’ve kept it simple and just did maya super 5 times but collected evidence while it was hitting.
And not one use of overhead to evidence collection, stance change to judge hyper. It looks so rad!
